hi! Thanks for giving me a change to be here. Its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Le Thi Hien. Im from Thanh Hoa
Province. I graduated from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology with major in Oil Refining and Petrochemistry .This
coure provide me knowledge in petroleum industry, not only the downstream but also the upstream. I learned about Crude oil
and petroleum product characteristics, refining process, Chemical process technology. My dream is working in a laboratory
because It make me feel interest when working erea that suited for my academic knowledge and skills.. Thats one of the
reasons why I applied for this position Lab technician.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY COMPANY?

Nghi Son Refinery & Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) is a joint venture company established in 2008 among
Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd and Mitsui Chemical, Inc. from Japan; Kuwait Petroleum International Ltd from
Kuwait and Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (PetroVietnam) to construct and operate a mega refinery &
petrochemical complex in Nghi Son Economic zone, Thanh Hoa province. The refinery will have the
capacity to process 200,000 barrels of crude oil a day imported from the Middle East, producing
petrochemical products such as gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, jet fuel and polypropylene.
THE construction activities started in July 2013

why do you want to work in my company, why do you apply for this position

there are 2 reasons that push me to applied for this job in your company.
The first reason is about academic knowledge. This position requires knowledges and skills about equipment operation. Thats
suited for my ability, for what I had trained for.
Secondaly, NSRP has a ideal working enuironment with professional manpower and efficiency system. I think thats make
NSRP now is one of the most ideal company to devote the whole strength to develop the career path.

what did you learn in the university

Ive learned a lot of lesson from university physical, math, chemistry, computer science, technical knowledge. I think the key
is technical knowledge. Of course learning is always not enough but the time in the university gave me the orientation head to
the aim of career in my life. And I think its very important.

how do you think about safety

I think safety is the most important

the safety and stable operation is the most important and basic requirement in the management of NSRP refinery. Especially
strong Leadership both in management and operation on site is the most important factor to ensure them from the process
safety aspects. NSRP shall implement and promote Process Safety Management. Every manager in all levels shall strive to
demonstrate effective leadership standing on this policy. Managers also take the first responsibility to manage risk, eliminate
all risks related to HSSE and Social incidents which may prevent the safety and stable operation. Hazards are identified,
evaluated, controlled and monitored in terms of HSSE and Social over viewing entire operations.

what do you know about the position you applied

Filed Operator is responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the
established operating procedures and written and oral instructions from Panel Operator and Lead Operator.
For this position, minimum works are as follows,
Works outside in the plant and is in constant communication with the Panel Operator and Lead
Operator directly and/or by radio in field operations such as making manual adjustments to valves and equipment
Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice
Collect samples of various streams and delivers them to the laboratory.
Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the panel operator.
Patrol the plant and ensures that the equipment is operating normally and that no unusual conditions exist.
Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as
required.
Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work.
Perform daily check and minor maintenance based on the check list etc.
Take appropriate actions in accordance with Panel Operator and Lead Operator in case of emergency.
Work directly with the foreign experts in the transfer of technical advice during the initial period of operation.
Receive fire fighting training based on fire fighting training program preparing for emergency.
Some of field operator, if appointed temporary firefighting crew, acts as a one of firefighting crew In case of
emergency.
