India salt summit is intended to bring together stakeholders across the salt value chain
viz., producers, processors, marketers, policy makers, researchers/scientists, consumers
and various international agencies to a common platform to meet the conclUSIve aim of
Universal Salt Iodization (USI).The key objective of the summit is to facilitate deliberations,
strategize and capture feedback to reach the last mile of USI in India.
The summit has been designed to conduct extensive discussion on the various issues and
challenges and to design clear strategies for achieving USI in India.
The summit will deliberate on 3 key thematic areas of the salt industry that contribute
towards USI goals: (A) consolidation (B) modernization (C) mechanization.
