EXPERIENCE:
Should have 3 years post qualification practical
experience at Bar and/or in any reputed Organization as an Officer
having adequate exposure to Company/Civil/Labour Laws. Candidates
should possess excellent communication and drafting skills and have the
capacity and capability to handle and deal with legal problems and
cases independently.
(a)
Commissioned Officer of Army / Navy / Air Force or
Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commandant of Central
Security Force with Six (6) years relevant experience;
OR a Graduate with 15 years relevant experience, including
experience in a Supervisory capacity in a Security organization.
(b)
Should be able to ride motorcycle and handle fire arms.
(c)
Should be of sound health and active habits.
(d)
Should be conversant with security rules and procedures to deal
with Police and the public.

Note:
(i)

The number of posts indicated in the advertisement may vary depending on NPCIL
requirements.

(ii)

Cut off date w.r.t. age, qualification and experience would be last date of receipt of
application i.e. 31st May 2015.

(iii) Reservation and age relaxation in services to reserved category candidates would be
applicable as per Government of India Orders.
(iv)

In case of educational qualifications; in addition to an institute being approved by UGC


/ AICTE; the particular Degree / Diploma awarded by that institute is also required to
be an approved Degree / Diploma.

(v)

For all the above posts, candidates should be proficient in working with computers and
should have exposure in handling software packages like Windows, MS Office, DBMS etc.

8.0

Selection Process
The selection for above posts of Dy. Managers in all disciplines will be carried
out by a two stage process comprising of Written / Online Test and Interview of those
candidates those are short-listed through the process of Written / Online Test.
The Written / Online Test will be conducted in 6 metro cities viz. New Delhi,
Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore & Hyderabad tentatively during July 2015.
However, exact dates for online test will be notified online at a later stage.
(i)

Pattern of Written / Online Test

The Written / Online test will comprise of two parts


Part I : Management Aptitude Test consisting of questions related to Quantitative
Aptitude, Reasoning (Verbal & Non verbal), English Language, Data interpretation and
General Awareness and
Part II will consist of questions related to relevant professional discipline.
The Written / Online test will consist of 120 questions (Part I 50 Questions +
Part II 70 Questions) of 1 mark each to be answered in 2 hours duration. There will
be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks for Written / Online Test is 40% for Unreserved
(General) candidates and 30% for reserved category candidates. Candidates, please
note that scoring minimum cut off marks to qualify in Written / Online Test doesnt
mean that he /she is short listed for interview.
Depending upon the number of vacancies; only those candidates who rank
sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the total marks scored in Written /
Online Test shall be short-listed and called for personal interview in the ratio of
maximum 1:5; if the number of advertised vacancies are less than 10 and in the
ratio of maximum 1:4; if the number of advertised vacancies are more than 10.
However, NPCIL reserves its right to shortlist and call the candidates for
personal interview otherwise than in the above ratio at its sole discretion; if sufficient
number of candidates is not available for interview; by lowering the cut off marks
prescribed for Written / Online Test.

(ii)

Personal Interview
The personal interview will consists of 100 Marks in which an Unreserved

(General) candidate has to score a minimum of 60% marks and reserved category
candidates has to score a minimum of 50% marks to be qualified in the interview.
Candidates, please note that scoring minimum cut off marks to qualify in
interview doesnt mean that he /she is empanelled for appointment. Final merit list of
candidates for empanelment will be prepared based on number of vacancies and the
marks scored in Written / Online test and Personal Interview giving equal weightage to
Written / Online Test and Interview.

(iii)

Date & Place of Interview


Date of personal interview will be notified later. Individual intimation for those

who are short listed through Written Test / Online Test will be sent by Email and / or
SMS and will also be displayed on NPCIL Website.
Personal interviews for all the above posts will be held at NPCIL HQs, located
at Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai.

(iv)

Travel Reimbursement
No Travel expenses will be paid to any candidate for appearing in

Written/Online Test. Only those outstation candidates who are short listed and have
attended the interview will be reimbursed First Class (Not First AC) / III AC to and fro
rail fare by the shortest route (including Rajdhani / Shatabdi / Duranto Trains) on
production of original journey tickets.
9.0

How to Apply

(i)

A Candidate has to apply through online application form provided on


the website www.npcilcareers.co.in only.

(ii)

The online application form will be available on the website


(www.npcilcareers.co.in) from 01st May 2015 at 1000 Hrs and will end
on 31st May 2015 at 1700 Hrs.

(iii)

It is mandatory to input all the relevant information (such as qualifying


degree details, experience details, percentage marks, email address,
contact mobile number etc.) to complete the registration and get the
Registration number. Therefore, applicants are advised to keep such
information ready before applying online.

(iv)

Before applying online candidate should scan his / her photograph in


JPG format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165
pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions and signature in JPG format of
size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9
cm) in dimensions.

10.0

Payment of Application Fee


Only male candidates belonging to General/OBC categories are required
to pay a Non-Refundable Amount of ` 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty
Only) towards application fee with the applicable bank charges using
State Bank Collect link of SBI provided on the website after submitting the
online application.
Alternatively, the State Bank Collect facility can also be operated
through the website www.onlinesbi.co.in by selecting State Bank Collect
option => Click Check Box & Proceed => Select state as Maharashtra =>
type of Corporate/Institution as Others => Others Name as NPCIL => Submit =>
Select Payment Category as Recruitment of Executives 2015.
SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Serviceman and Women candidates are exempted from
the payment of Application Fee.
Please note that it may take upto three working days to update the
details of Application Fee. Once the details of payment of Application fee are
received from Bank, the applicant can view these details using the "Payment
Details" link. Only after verification of payment of fee, the online
application form can be viewed / printed. The printed application is required
to be brought at the time of attending interview. Candidates please note that
the Online Application Process for any of the post advertised is complete
only after all the above-mentioned applicable steps are complete.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1.

Only Indian Nationals; aged 18 years and above, are eligible to apply.

2. The number of posts indicated in the advertisement is tentative and may vary as
per actual requirements of the NPCIL.
3. The cut off date for reckoning Maximum Age Limit, qualification and Post
Qualification Experience would be last date of filling online application i.e.31st May
2015. The cut off date for determining all eligibility criteria i.e. 31st May 2015;
would remain same even if the last date for submission of online application /
payment of fee is extended for administrative / technical reasons.
4. Candidates should have completed their qualifying degree as on last date of
application i.e. 31st May 2015. Final Year / Final Semester appearing candidates
are not eligible to apply.
5. Wherever Post Qualification experience is prescribed, it will be calculated only
after passing the prescribed professional qualification. Candidate should indicate
exact post qualification experience in Years & Months. Eg. 2 Years 11 Months should
not be rounded off to 3 years. The date will be calculated from the date of issuance
of final marks sheet / certificate.
6. Exact percentage of marks should be mentioned in Graduation and Professional
Qualification percentage of marks column. E.g. 59.9% should NOT be rounded off to
60%.
7. Candidates are required to produce relevant certificate from Principal / Dean of
the Institute in support of approval / recognition of the Institute & Course by AICTE at
the time of interview.
8. Candidates who are awarded Gradations under the CGPA system are required to
produce proof issued by the University / Institute converting the CGPA Gradations into
appropriate percentage at the time of interview.
9. Before submitting the online application form, the candidate must ensure that
they fulfill all the eligibility criteria with respect to age, educational
qualifications and work experience as published in the advertisement. If the
candidate is not eligible, his / her candidature will be cancelled at any stage of
the recruitment. If the candidate qualifies in the selection process and subsequently,
it is found that he / she does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his / her candidature
will be cancelled and if appointed, the services will be terminated without any notice
or compensation.

10. Online applications containing incorrect / misleading information will lead to the
candidate being disqualified, as and when detected, irrespective of the stage of
selection process and will also lead to dismissal from services of the NPCIL, on its
detection anytime after appointment. The NPCIL will not entertain any
correspondence from these candidates.
11. All candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC/PWD category shall produce at the time
of interview; self attested copy of the caste certificate in the prescribed 'Central
Government' format from the Competent Authority empowered to issue such
certificate along with originals for verification. OBC certificate shall be of a recent
date i.e. issued on or after 01/04/2015 with suitable mention about creamy layer /
Non Creamy layer status. (OBC candidates with certificate having the "Non-Creamy
Layer Clause" only will be eligible for reservation as per Government of India
guidelines if the caste certificate caste appears in the Central List).
12. The OBC candidates who belong to "Creamy layer" are not entitled for concession
admissible to OBC category and such applicants should indicate their category as
General only.
13.
The candidate's appointment will remain provisional subject to caste/tribe
certificates being verified through proper channel and verification of testimonials.
The candidate's services will be liable to be terminated forthwith without assigning
any reason in case the above verification reveals that his/her claim for belonging to
SC/ST/OBC/PWD category and other testimonials is found false. The NPCIL also
reserves its right to take such further action against the candidate, as it may deem
proper, for production of such false caste Certificate.
14. The minimum disability in case of PWD candidates is 40%. Sub-category of
disability, i.e. visually handicapped (VH), hearing handicapped (HH) and
orthopedically handicapped (OH) may also be indicated. The PWD candidates shall
possess a Certificate to this effect issued by the Board/countersigned by the Medical
Superintendent/Chief Medical Officer/Head of Hospital of Government. Necessary
assistance for access & seating will be provided to PWD candidates at the
Written / Online Test centre.
15. Candidates employed with Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies
should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview. Please note
that candidates employed with Govt. Deptt / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies will not be
allowed for interviews without production of NOC and will not be paid any amount
towards travel reimbursement.
16. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere
possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called for Written/Online
Test and/or Interview.

17. NPCIL reserves the right to

19. Candidates willing to apply for more than one post can do so by applying
separately for each post. However, Request for change of discipline, post, test
centre, test date and timing will not be entertained after submission of online
application.
20. NPCIL reserves the right NOT to select a candidate for a post, if suitable
candidate is not found.
21. Appointment of the candidate in the NPCIL will also be subject to Medical
fitness, satisfactory reference check and verification of Character and Antecedents
(C&A) and Special Security Questionnaire (SSQ) by the prescribed authority.
22. All positions advertised under the Advt. No. NPCIL/HRM/2015/02; carry with it
the liability to serve in any of the Units of the NPCIL or at any other place in India /
Abroad depending upon NPCIL requirements.
23. Admit Cards/call letters will not be generated, if the application fee has not
been paid in NPCIL account between 1st May 2015 and 31st May 2015 in respect of
General and OBC Male candidates.
24. Request for refund of online application fee made by candidate will not be
entertained under any circumstances.
25. At the time of interview, the applicants have to produce all original certificates
for verification of date of birth, caste, disabilities, qualification, experience (if
any) etc and certificate / authentic documents in original in support of any claim
for relaxation of age, application fees along with self attested copies of all such
certificates / documents (Formats can be downloaded from Downloads menu from
the website). No Applicant will be interviewed, if any of the required certificates /
documents are not produced.
26. No Travel expenses will be paid to any candidate for appearing in
Written/Online Test. Only those outstation candidates who are short listed and have
attended interview will be reimbursed First Class (Not First AC) / III AC to and fro rail
fare by the shortest route (including Rajdhani / Shatabdi / Duranto Trains) on
production of original journey tickets.

27. If Applicant is not interviewed due to not meeting the eligibility criteria or non
production of the required documents including NOC, travel ticket etc. No traveling
expenses for coming for interview will be reimbursed.
28.
No request for change of Test centre, date and time allotted for
Written/Online Test (wherever applicable) will be entertained. Although applicants
have been advised to indicate their preference of Test centre for appearing in the
Written/Online Test, NPCIL reserves the right of allocation of Test centre of
Written/Online Test as it may deem fit about which the applicant will be informed
through email / SMS and no further request for any change shall be entertained in this
regard.
29.
In case of any ambiguity / dispute arising on account of interpretation in
versions other than English, the English version shall prevail.
30.
At any stage of this recruitment process including after recruitment or joining,
if any of the following is detected, the said applicant will be liable to be disqualified,
prosecuted and debarred for all appointments in NPCIL and his/her application /
appointment will be rejected forthwith:

has resorted to unfair means during the Written/Online Test / Recruitment

e. is found guilty of impersonation or

Test at the test centre or Interview venue or
g. has uploaded non-human or irrelevant photograph.

In case of any dispute, legal jurisdiction will be Mumbai.
