AmonthagowepresentedyouthefinalistentriesforStadskantoor,anewmixedused
buildingatRotterdamsCityHall.Afteraprocessofpublicfeedbackandapresentationto
theprofessionaljury,OMAsentrywasawardedwiththe1stprize.
Thestrategyoftheprojectisverysimple:amodularflexiblestructurespansbetween
existingbuildings,supportingthemixeduseprogram,whilefreeingthespacebelowfor
publicuse.Theaxonometricshownbelowshowsthisrichpublicrealmthattheoffersback
tothecity.

releasedinwinter,andviceversa,andtheuseofhitechtranslucentinsulationinthe
buildingsglassfaade,addressingthemainrequirementforthisbuilding:tobethemost
sustainablebuildingintheNetherlands.
