TCBJ Convention Scholarship


The Twin Cities Black Journalists is offering several scholarships for college
students and recent graduates in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota area
to attend the National Association of Black Journalists 40th Convention and
Career Fair in Minneapolis that will take place August 5 9, 2015.
Thousands of journalists, media executives, public relations professionals,
and students are expected to attend to network, participate in professional
development sessions and celebrate excellence in journalism.
The scholarship will cover the cost of convention registration. In addition to the
scholarship, students will be matched with professional journalists from TCBJ
who will serve as on-site mentors.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a college student, recent graduate who currently resides in Minnesota
Must have an interest in journalism as a career
Must be able to attend at least 3 of the 5 days of the convention
Must submit short 100-word essay about why you want to attend
By award acceptance, must be a student member of NABJ
