SABIS is a global education network that operates in 16

countries and educates 70,000 students. Using a

comprehensive, proprietary system, SABIS Network schools
provide students with a high-quality education that is essential to
help them achieve success in a changing world.

In 1985, The International School of Minnesota (ISM) became

the first SABIS Network school to open its doors in the U.S.
Over the next 30 years, the school, which also includes a
boarding facility, established a reputation for providing a topquality education to students from around the world.

Bola Koleosho
This is the story of a student who developed her passion for performance and found her voice.
Bola Koleosho joined ISM as a Pre-Kindergarten student in 2001. Over the next 14 years, she formed a
special bond with her school community, eventually attending ISM as a boarding student in her senior year.
Bola credits ISM for providing her with the encouragement and support she needed to become a strong
student and pursue her interest in the performing arts.
As a student, Bola was committed to putting in the time and energy required to consistently achieve
academically. The structured approach to learning at ISM not only provided a framework for her to maintain
high grades in all her subjects, but it also helped her balance academics with her passion for music and
performance.
From her very first day at ISM, Bola was interested in singing. As a primary student, she sang
enthusiastically with her classmates in annual concerts. When the opportunity arose to join the school choir,
Bola jumped at the chance. She also joined the schools show choir and was a regular on stage during the
annual, all-school musicals.
I really see Bolas full potential every time I watch her perform. When she is on stage, you really get a
sense of the remarkable range of her abilities, said Ms. Christi Seiple-Cole, ISM School Director.
In 2015, Bolas vocal performance of the Italian opera aria O del mio dolce ardor at the Minnesota State
High School League State Music Contest earned her a Superior rating. She also received an Honorable
Mention in a Leading Role award from the Hennepin Theater Trust Spotlight Program, a program that
recognizes talented student actors around the state of Minnesota, for her role this year as the dragon in
Shrek, the Musical.
A talented, well-rounded student, Bola has been accepted to the University of Minnesota-Morris, where she
will be studying performing arts and pre-medicine in the fall.
We wish Bola success in her pursuits and look forward to hearing about her future accomplishments.
