Experienced Engineers

Program
The Experienced Engineers Program is
designed for engineers with four or more
years experience, and aims to equip
participants with the required tools to
complete their application for Chartered
status or registration with Engineers
Australia.
Delivered over five months, the program
uses classroom based workshops, online
seminars and tools to engage participants
and stimulate their thinking.

By the end of the program, participants will


be better able to:
interpret and write effective Engineering
Competency Claims
manage conflict
understand financial variables and
metrics
value financial goals and priorities
justify proposals and professional
opinions
define and manage risk
understand and manage liability and
due diligence
manage stakeholder perceptions.

The modules are split over five months and include:

Recognise what makes a high
performing team, tips for open and
clear communication, managing conflict
and making effective decisions.
ECC writing
Enhance how you understand and
interpret evidence and learn how to
write effective Engineering Competency
Claims.
Financial acumen
Learn a range of financial concepts and
principles, the levers to manage and
improve financial results and
the connectivity between variables and
metrics.

Engineering Education Australia (EEA)


provides high quality training to engineers,
professional and engineering organisations
in Australia.
The Experienced Engineers Program is
delivered using a blend of classroom based
workshops and online seminars.
EEA can help develop participants unique
abilities to make them more rounded and
dedicated engineers.

Presentation skills
Enhance how you engage with
your audience and learn the various
techniques for presenting content.
Risk
Analyse current and emerging risk
management tools and techniques,
work health and safety governance,
understand causation, manage
stakeholders, and develop a safety
case.
Interview skills
Prepare for your Chartered Status
interview and learn to develop good
behaviours for when being interviewed
and for when you need to be conducting
an interview.
