With the Optus Thuraya SatSleeve, its easy to turn your Apple iPhone
or Samsung Galaxy into a satellite phone. The SatSleeve connects your
smartphone to Thurayas satellite network, and as long as you have a direct
line of sight to the satellite, youll be able to stay in touch wherever you are,
across most parts of Australia.
With the SatSleeve, youll be able stay in touch when youre off the beaten
track, by sending and receiving voice calls and SMS. Youll also be able to
access your contacts, use all of your favourite apps and even use data! It
works in Australia, as well as 140 countries throughout Asia, Europe, The
Middle East and Africa.

The Optus Thuraya SatSleeve is available for iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s and 6 models,
and Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and S5 models only.

- Sending and receiving SMS between other Australian carriers (eg. Telstra or Vodafone) and other satellite or
international carriers (eg. Globalstar, Inmarsat or Iridium) is not guaranteed when your phone is in Satellite Mode
- The Thuraya SatSleeve requires its own SIM card and phone number
- Youll need to pair the devices and download the SatSleeve app free from the Apple App Store or Google Play
Store, whilst you are in a 3G coverage area.
- The Thuraya SatSleeve does not support MMS, video calling, 1900 services, and premium SMS (PSMS)
- To use the Thuraya Satellite Service, you must have International Roaming activated
- When in Satellite Mode, Emergency Dialling is not possible without an active Optus Thuraya SIM card in
the handset. Emergency Dialling may not be possible while the keypad is locked, and may not operate in all
locations or countries overseas when in Satellite Mode (as per international roaming)
- Satellite calling requires the Australian area code for local landline numbers. For example, 02 for a NSW number
