DECEASED Please pray for Raymond Swinney RIP who died recently, his Funeral Service will
be on Monday, 10th August at 1.15pm in Our Lady of Peace, followed by burial at Slough
Cemetery. Also please pray for Canon Denis McSweeney RIP, his Funeral Mass will be
celebrated by Bishop Peter on Tuesday, 4th August at 7.30pm in Sacred Heart, Flitwick, and on
Wednesday, 5th August at 10.30am in the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate, Northampton there
will be a Funeral Mass celebrated in the Extraordinary Form by Rev Gerard Byrne. May their
souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

Saturday, 8th August. We wish them every blessing.

Morning Prayer is prayed before every weekday Mass and the Rosary is prayed after
Mass: all are welcome to join us
ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament prior to the 6.00pm Mass on Saturdays, beginning at
5.15pm. Please respect the Lord and those who would like to pray by maintaining silence in
Church prior to Mass.
MISSIO please would you kindly bring your boxes in current use to Mass with you as soon as
possible. Please ensure that boxes are always left with someone at Church whom you know.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from
7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer,
praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Worship, Scripture,
Silence and Divine Mercy Prayer at St Andrews every Thursday from 8.30am 9.30am. All
welcome.
MARRIAGE TRIBUNAL AUDITORS in the Slough area are needed. The work of a Lay Auditor
includes contacting, interviewing and gathering the testimony of a Petitioner, or a Respondent, or
a named witness in a marriage case that is before the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal. If you would
be willing to offer your services to the Marriage Tribunal, to work in the capacity of Lay Auditors
in Slough, please contact Canon Kevin ODriscoll on 01753 543770.

ST ANDREW'S CHURCH Cleaning, please do come along and help to keep our Church clean,

renowned preacher from the largest Catholic Retreat Centre. Music Ministry, Healing service,

THE SEVEN MANSIONS OF PRAYER Eight weekly teachings on the Spiritual life with Catholic
Evangelist, Derek Williams. How to have an intimate encounter with God in Prayer. Every
Tuesday evening beginning on 8th September until 27th October at St Andrews Shared Church,
Cippenham. Each evening will begin at 7.00pm with the Divine Mercy in song. For further

ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL On Friday, 11th September the House of Commons will debate and
vote on a Bill to legalise assisted suicide. This will put the most vulnerable people in our society
at risk. Please contact your MP, urging them to attend the debate and vote against the Bill. You
can send an e-mail to your MP via the Catholic Bishops Conference
website (www.catholicnews.org.uk/assisted-suicide) or send a letter by post, a draft of which can
be found at the back of the Church.
SLOUGH FOODBANK This years Ride for Food will take place on Sunday 13th September at
12.30pm starting from Slough Cinema. 24 miles (approx.) around the lovely Berkshire
countryside through Windsor Great Park to Dorney. Bring your own lunch and bring money for
the ice cream stop at Dorney, before returning for about 5.00pm. All are welcome but children
need to be accompanied by an adult. If interested email Toby on tobymckeever@gmail.com.

WALSINGHAM Annual Pilgrimage of Reparation and Prayer for the Sanctity of Life, on Sunday
27th September, led by Rt Rev Philip Egan, Bishop of Portsmouth. All are invited to unite in this
day of Prayer. Further details please contact Portsmouth Diocese.
ST BERNARDS CATHOLIC GRAMMAR SCHOOL Parents are invited to an 11+ Information
evening on Wednesday, 30th September at 8.00pm. Tours of the School for prospective parents
