electrnica en Excel, este mtodo encierra el diseo estructural detallado
segn el
cdigo AREMA de cada uno de los elementos. El segundo mtodo es por
medio del
programa comercial SAP2000.
En resumen el siguiente proyecto de tesis trata de forma ntegra lo
relacionado con
superestructura de puentes de acero en el Ecuador, caso vigas tipo i de
lama llena.
ABSTRACT
The present book studies all reference to the super structure of steel
railways bridges
simple span in Ecuador. The first chapter contents a resume about the
history of the
construction of the rail way Guayaquil

Quito in the first years of the XX century. This


railway represents one of the most difficult railways constructions of the
world, because
this way must arrive at 2800 m of altitude in 460 km of travel. Also in
the first chapter
presents a historic resume of the evolution of the steel railway bridges
since the
appearance of the train until the actuality.
The second chapter contents the basics concepts of rail matter. It studies
the
classification of the locomotives in function of parameters like: fuel
used, speed of
circulation and disposition of the wheels. Also it presents a classification
of steel
railways bridges, in base of the superstructure. In this classification it
mentioned: deck
truss; through truss; deck girder; through girder. Also it presents
examples of these
kinds of bridges in Ecuador.
Third chapter contents all concepts necessary to doing the complete
design of the
superstructure of the steel railways bridge. It presents: the design
s parameters; pre
dimension; kinds of forces and stress and dynamic analysis.

Fourth chapter is an application of the three previous chapters. In the


fourth chapter it
does a design of the superstructure of the railway deck girder bridge with
a span of 22
meters. The design is made through two different methods. The first
method is doing
through the software Excel; this method contents the complete and
detailed design of
the main structural elements. The second method is made through the
commercial
software SAP2000.

As conclusion this project of thesis contents completely all related with


superstructure
railway deck girder bridge in Ecuador, case Girder simple span bridges.
