In the cube project we deployed several models in the process of researching the final model. During the process we created models to arrange the
mass and void to help identify the positive and negative spaces that were
created. During the next step we joined two different models together
to create different positive and negative voids which would allow us to
further our ideas to finalize our final model. My main idea revolved around
a cube and the framing of a cube which would create positive and negative
spaces of other cubes with-in the original cube itself.

Water Works
Water Works consisted of an inspiration from the rendering in my site design and it inspired me to get an idea of how I would like to have the water
flow. The render also allowed me to design my water flow and eventually
it gave me an idea to plan and organize my pools , pavilions, and spaces. In
the process however I came up with several schemes and one which had
to be an inspiration from the site design rendering. In all the schemes I
came up with they each had their positive and negative spaces and I used
both the positive and negative to come up with the final design in which
I would improve until my final design was complete. Also after observing
my design carefully there is a relationship between my cube project and
the water works project. In both projects I created framed cubes which
created both positive and negative spaces.

Like the Gate Project I was first engaged in research and analysis of the site. The main focus of the research was architectural issues of time, observation, and movement in landscape. Once the research was
done I was about to design the Ecology Center which included three scientist. The three scientist were a
Biologist, Chronologist, and Hydrologist. Incorporating the three into the design was the main focus and
the site analysis research was a big factor in helping come up with the design of each lab and how they
relate to one another. In designing my Ecology center i focused on two grids a grid derived from the trees
on the site that helped organize public, private, and semi public spaces. The next grid I used was derived
from the Brooklyn grid which it helped me organize my views and organize my project on a radial organization combined with the liner grid organization from the trees.

During my research for this project I decided to do the Nanjing Museum by Steven Holl. As I researched his work this museum really caught my attention because of its form and how simple it
was but yet again it was such a simple building and thats the beauty of it. During the research I ran
upon a few of his sketches and they were really great sketches that gave you an idea of how the
building was and how Steven Holl came up with his organization and concepts.
