Navonmesh: The Entrepreneurship Convention

Start-up Summary
About Navonmesh

Greetings from Team Navonmesh!

Navonmesh, the entrepreneurial convention, aims to breathe in a new life to the spirit of
innovation and enterprise in the country. This event will be a part of Avenues 2009, the annual
business festival of IIT Bombay, conducted by the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT
Bombay.

At Navonmesh, our objective is to offer a helping hand to start-ups and sensitize the modern
business school fraternity about the potential and power of their enterprise. We have chosen 6
start-ups and we invite b-schoolers to prepare business plans around those start-ups. Four of
these start-ups are supported by TePP, Technopreneur Promotion Programme of the Department
of Science and Technology, Government of India. The primary objective of the Business Plans
should be to help the start-ups go to the next level.

The business plans should be feasible and should consider the status quo of the start-up and look
at the financial feasibility of the Business Plans. The process of selection involves 2 rounds of
filtration and one business plan per start-up will be selected for the final event. Feedback for the
contestants will help to improve upon their entries at each round of short listing.

The teams with the best Business Plans will be invited to IIT Bombay to present it before an
esteemed panel of Judges, Start-Up owners and Venture capitalists.

Best Regards,
Team Navonmesh
