Independently managed a research project on the sociospatial effects of charter schools on Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Wrote a comprehensive research report for publication by the AFT (in review). Created longitudinal and spatialized datasets;

Designed and managed community food security projects with five womens groups. Wrote two successful grant proposals;
administrated $13,000. Established 59 organic family gardens and vermiculture production beds; delivered comprehensive
technical skills trainings.
Managed a regional improved stoves initiative in collaboration with PC Volunteers and an international NGO. Cooking stoves
installed in 672 homes across 28 communities.
Developed curriculum for agroforestry training certification. Collaborated with an international NGO & regional intermunicipal
organization. Trained municipal officials and coffee farmers from 13 departments to initiate income diversification projects.
Wrote a technical horticulture manual, in Spanish, for local use, along with a companion manual that focused on the
development of community projects and capacity building.
Wrote the project proposal for a rural health center, created descriptive GIS maps, facilitated a series of meetings, and solicited
a permanent nurse position to establish the center.
