Patterns for Cutting

Letters and Numbers


The patterns below will guide you as you cut out
letters and numbers freehand, or you may use them
to make cardboard patterns for cutting out letters
and numbers. (Use lightweight cardboard and a razor
blade or precision knife.) The size of the paper you
use will determine the size of your letter or number.
Large letters are often needed for posters and
bulletin boards.

Have or cut all


pieces of paper the
same size before
you begin. Corners
may be rounded, if
you prefer.

On a vertical fold, cut out these letters or this number.
