ACHTUNG

automatisch erhht bzw. vermindert.
maximal mglichen Dosierfrequenz einzustellen.

Eingang siehe Kapitel 10.3.14.3, elektrischer Anschluss siehe Kapitel 7.2.4.4 bzw.
Kapitel 8.2.2.1).

a)
b)

Mounting
The metering pump should be fitted in an easy-to-access, frost-free location.
The ambient temperature must not exceed +40 C.
The mounting position of the device must be horizontal.
The pump must be securely screwed to the bracket or the container using the drill holes
provided (for information on the drill hole gap, see chapter 14.2 Dimensions
CAUTION
6.1
In accordance with DIN EN 809 5.2.1.4, we inform you that the pump can lose its
stableness and fall in every direction as a result of an inclination angle of 10 or more
degrees, if it is not tightly screwed to the ground (e. g. during transport, mounting or
demounting).
Hence, as long as the pump is not tightly screwed to the ground, appropriate safety
measures have to be taken for preventing the pump from overturning.

NOTE
The overflow line never be fed back into the suction line of the metering pump.
In place of a pressure valve and an overflow valve also a multifunction valve (MFV) from our
delivery program can be used.
A spring-loaded injection or metering valve (1) should be installed at the injection point
(including with supplying metered amounts into depressurised systems).
For outgassing media and products with a viscosity of > 100 mPas,
Fig. 7.2
flooded suction is recommended.
In using this method, however, ensure that the injection point is
positioned over the discharge container and/or an appropriate
pressure control valve (2) is installed. These measures prevent the
discharge container from being siphoned empty.

When using long metering lines or in the case of an inflexible pipe work, a
pulsation attenuator (1) should be installed in the pressure line (directly
behind the pressure valve of the metering pump) in order to avoid pressure
strokes.
Fig 7.7
Always lay the suction pipe so that it ascends to the suction valve of
the metering pump.
Fig. 7.9
For system designs with a suction tube length of more than about 3 m
and/or that must reach a suction height
of > 2 m, an appropriate lifting vessel must be installed to support the
suction process. The lifting vessel must be positioned above the
pump.

NOTE
With an applied metering backpressure of > 0.5 bar, the use of a multifunction valve from
our product range is recommended.
Otherwise the fitted ball cock (for recommendation, see chapter 7.1.1, Fig. 7.1) must be
opened or the metering output must be released elsewhere.
WARNING
Particular caution is required when handling chemical metering media! Metering media may
escape which may cause skin irritation, depending on their properties. Therefore, before
venting, always observe the product datasheet of the metering medium to prevent any type
of injury!
NOTE
To ensure an optimal suction performance, the stroke length should be set to 100% and the
maximum stroke frequency.
In the event that pump has no suction or insufficient suction, the correct connection must
be checked.
WARNING
It is only possible to modify the stroke length setting when the pump is running.
When using a multifunction valve (see accessory range) for the venting, use the appropriate
operating instructions.
When using a ball cock (or another venting device), place a suitable collection vessel below the
venting pipe.
Press the Test key until the metering medium escapes from the venting pipe.
Hold down the Test key for a further 60 seconds to fill the pump head fully with the product.
Press the Test key again until the metering medium is visible through the metering pipe, until it
reaches approximately 2 cm in front of the inoculation valve.
Close the ball cock (if available/used).
Close the clear cover which protects the function keys, and seal it if necessary.

WARNING
The stored pulses are processed once no further external pulses are received. This means
that the pump continues to function even though there is no external running condition.
In the worst case, this can lead to metering taking place into a closed system and resulting
in impermissibly high pressure in the system.
This must be prevented through appropriate safety measures.
The memory content is erased by activating the metering lock or switching off the pump.

The oval gear meter can only be activated if the pump is upgraded with a dongle box to the
PLUS
E60
and a standard oval gear meter (see Accessories) is connected.
To activate the Dongle-Box in connection with the oval gear meter, the power supply has
to be switched off and on again! (Unplug power plug or switch the pump off and back on
again!)
PLUS
The oval gear meter function is automatically activated when an OGM
is connected.

10.3.11.1 Selecting
Fig. 10.27
If an OGM Plus is connected, when the metering controller function is activated, the dosage
quantity measured by the OGM is compared with a pre-defined dosage quantity target
value. If there is a discrepancy between the values, the metering frequency of the pump is
automatically increased or decreased.
Since metering frequency can only be adjusted within the performance limitations of the
pump, setting the dosage quantities higher than 80 or 90% of the maximum possible
metering frequency is not recommended. This will ensure that the metering controller retains
sufficient reserves to react to negative control deviations.
The metering controller function can only be used in the 'internal' and 'current' operating
modes. If the operating mode 'pulse' is selected, the metering controller function will not
work.
NOTE
The metering controller function can only be activated if the pump is upgraded with a
PLUS
PLUS
dongle box to the E60
and oval gear meter , type OGM
(see Accessories) is
connected.
To activate the Dongle-Box in connection with the oval gear meter, the power supply has
to be switched off and on again!

NOTE
This display shows the number of pulses recorded during the last
calibration process (running time during calibration = 1 min).
If the value shown is less than 60, metering monitoring using an oval
gear meter is only possible to a limited extent.
NOTE
The pump must be calibrated before using batch metering (see chapter 10.4).
When activating batch mode with a signal to the metering lock/pulse input (plug II) (or at
plug VII if a dongle box is used) pin 2+4 (input pulse) or pin 3+4 (input metering lock), a
previously defined quantity is metered with 100 % stroke frequency (assortment of inputs
see chapter 10.3.14.3, electrical connection see chapter 7.2.4.4 and 8.2.2.1).
The batch metering can be interrupted by deactivating the release (metering lock) or
switching off the pump.

Calibration / Manual
If the calibration value to be entered is known, a dry calibration (immediate entry of the
value without a previous calibration process) can be conducted.
However, this method is not very accurate as no consideration is given to the on-site
conditions (back-pressure, viscosity, cable cross-chapters and lengths etc).

Metering rates
The reproducible metering precision is about +/- 3 % at a minimum 30 % stroke distance
and under constant conditions.
Due to the characteristics of the pump, higher output can be produced until the operating
temperature is reached.
Precise metering can be achieved by taking the following points into consideration:
a)
All metering capacity informations relates to measurements using water at 20C, with a
constant power supply and warmed-up pump.
b)
In order to obtain a high degree of metering precision with free flow, a pressure
maintenance valve (or metering valve) should be used, in order to produce a constant
counterpressure of at least 0.5 bar.
c)
If there is pre-pressure on the suction side, the pressure difference between the suction
and the pressure sides must be at least 1 bar. The water column on the metering pump
must be protected by an appropriate valve arrangement.
A pressure control valve or a metering value is not an absolutely hermetically sealing
shutoff device.
NOTE
WARNING
14.7
Metering stroke adjustment may only be performed with the pump running if the stroke
adjusting screw is released.

10.3.11 Configuration / Compteur roues ovales (justement E60PLUS & OGM or OGM PLUS)

dalimentation constante, pompe chaud.
cot pression doit alors tre dau moins 1 bar.
