Introduction: C2C

C2C is a Customer to customer application.


This is a map/location based application.
It is not the regular app, wherein you provide hundreds of offers, cash-back, value points and
so on.
The main intention of the app is to make customer/consumer the information sharer across
his community/region.
This app will not target brands/ one particular category of segment, rather it will focus on all
the shopping needs especially day-to-day needs of the customer.
This application will be unique, no nonsense app purely focusing the C2C information sharing.

How it works??

It is the messaging platform for consumers.


Customer can share with other customers about the offers, anything unique he finds in his
locality or region on the platform.
Customer can also search/post information with respect to any region or locality.
The focus here is more on PPOS (physical point of sale ) rather then e-commerce.
Although ecommerce offers can also be shared.
The personal details about the customer will not be revealed.

How it works??

For example, if the customer goes to his local grocery mart and finds there is a offer such as
buy two kilos of tomatoes for the price of one. The customer can share this information
through the app across his region or locality.
He can type the message plus select/tag his region, optionally can upload the image of the
shop for better reference points.
Here the community points to the region/locality where the customer resides, like Gandhi
bazar. This could be most common use-case.

Apart from that, customer can share something like this


1. @annarbor brewing, BeerFest here, drink as much you can.

2. @bestbuy, offer on Heineken beer cans only for today. Rush now.
Downing street.
3. @Fashiontrendz, new stock of jeans have arrived.

Features of this application

Provide custom data filters, location/region, keyword based search.


Further, if the location of the shop/mart is not so clear, customer can go to the region and
search using the maps from the application.
Each message posted will have three buttons such as Like, Verified, $.
Like : The app users like such information.
Verified: Few of the app users have actually gone and verified , if really the offer exists.
$: The app users have bought the goods after hearing about the offer/information.
Since consumers will not be willing to see the app every now and then, create alerts at regular
periodic intervals to alert the consumer about the new offers /information shared in his locality.
Also offer the ability to define alerts by configuring the keyword and region. For example, Any
offer on Ice-creams (Keyword used) that is available within Indiranagar/Bangalore or North
Bangalore (Filters).

Benefits of using the application

Consumers get-to-know latest happenings/offers/any special goods that is available in their


living community or locality.
Further, micro-businesses within the locality can use this app as a marketing platform
Since the information is provided by customers not by brands themselves, consumers will get
unique information about offers.
This application can boost physical retailers and local vendors sales.
The platform can be further enhanced to do much more than initial feature offering.
Just not offers, for example, if the consumer savored a food at an eatery, he can express this
in the platform. This will bring more customers to the eatery.
The physical retailers can use this application to market themselves such as giving out
information regarding the day-to-day or some new goods that they have in stock to their
region/locality. In this case, the message will branded as authenticated or information
provided by the retailer itself.

Technical Requirements

This application will require a highly user friendly User interface providing excellent user
experience. A very flat user interface with neat design.
It must rolled-out in Android, iOS, Windows and other platforms simultaneously.
Reliable Hosting services for the data storage. Note: The fundamental requirement of the
application, this will define the growth of the application.
The architecture has to be defined in such a way, regions are classified and the localities in the
region are the sub-set of regions. When the data sent by the user must exactly be sent to the
storage which is defined for a particular region and its sub-set. This can be taken care using SDS.
Strong back-end infrastructure.
High content moderation.
Application must be optimized to run on 2g networks also, for India region.

How do we Market this application

The application requires extremely broad reach and millions of consumers to be active to
make it a success.
The application initially needs to be rolled-out in two different geographies India and Canada
to be successful. It will help us to analyze the behavior of the consumers.
The application will be in pilot testing mode for period of one month. In this one month, we
market it heavily everywhere.
Once the pilot mode is successful, the application will go live in two geographies.
The aim will be initially to reach at least 10,000,000 user-base.

For pilot testing, we can target college and universities students massively and
promote. During the pilot testing, if the users are happy, they can crowd-fund the application to
scale.

Further enhancements of the


Application

Add a pre-order or book button in the application on the message.


Partner with all the physical vendors and retailers to tag them with the relevant message.
Once the message is tagged, trigger an alert to the retailer that his offer is mentioned in the
platform.
Curate the information and provide localized analytical reports to physical retailers and
further to manufacturers of the products, if there is a possibility.
Integrate the app with FB, Twitter.

And much more can be done as the platform/application is scaled-up.

How do we make Moolah?

Sell the application at 10/20 INR with initial targeted user base of 10,000,000 in India
Sell the application at 1$ or 0.5$ with initial targeted user base of 10,000,000 in Canada.
Charge monthly maintenance fees, if we do not have enough investment or funding.

At later stages, Charge physical retailers to partner with us. Plus charge for the analytical
reports.

Why do we have to roll-out globally?

Intense competition, you do not know who is gonna turn-up as competitor.


The application requires a extremely extensive user-base for it to be successful.
If we have also roll-out globally, we can further expand to small countries.
We have to become brand and be recognized before somebody comes-up with similar
application.

Associated Risks

Intense competition : We need to analyze the app market, patent this first, if this is a really
workable idea.
App market landscape is extremely dynamic.
The application requires stringent and high content moderation. We cannot have post on abusive
content or sexual content or drug content.
The success of the application depends on How much it will be utilized by the customers.
Requires robust and reliable technology infrastructure.
