AT&T OPENS NEW AUTHORIZED RETAILER LOCATION IN

CLARKSTON
The Clarkston store provides mobile lifestyle options in new convenient
location
CLARKSTON, MICH., SEPT. 15, 2015 AT&T is opening a new authorized retailer location in
Clarkston to meet the growing needs of its customers in the region. The store, slated to have a
grand opening, Friday, September 18, will provide customers with options for the latest devices,
accessories, and services like Digital Life and U-verse from AT&T. The new store, owned and
operated by MMS Group, has a showroom nearly 1,300-square-feet in size and is located at
6325 Sashabaw Road, Suite I.
AT&T continues to invest in Michigan, said Jim Murray, president, AT&T Michigan. This new
store for Clarkston, and ones like it in neighboring communities, better connects residents with
the devices and services they are asking for.
Over the past six years (2009 to 2014), AT&T invested nearly $140 billion including investments
in its wireless and wireline networks and acquisitions of wireless spectrum and operations.
Since 2009, AT&T has invested more in the United States than any other public company. In a
September 2014 report, the Progressive Policy Institute ranked AT&T No. 1 on its list of U.S.
Investment Heroes.
Our goal is to become Americas premier retailer by providing an exceptional experience in
every interaction and that begins with having stores conveniently located for our customers,
said Brian Ducharme, vice president/general manager for AT&T in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
AT&T customers looking for the latest wireless applications and services, smartphones, tablets
and accessories to mirror their mobile lifestyles now have another great location to find the right
solution to fit their mobile lifestyle.

AT&T has 58 company owned stores in Michigan and also sells its products and services in
authorized retailer locations and select national retail stores. AT&Ts current retail expansion
comes amid the companys Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan
announced fall 2012 to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks. Through this
investment, AT&T is supporting its customers growing desire for high-speed Internet access
and new mobile, app and cloud-based services. As part of Project VIP, AT&T is deploying
small cell technology, macro cells and additional DAS, which will increase the density of our
wireless network. The wireless network densification will further improve network quality and
increase spectrum efficiency.
