1.1

FOREWORD

The equipment is in compliance with the following standards:

EN 301 489-4 for EMC

ITU-R Rec. F749 and CEPT/ERC Recommendation TR 12-01 (go-return 1260 MHz)

EN 302 217 for fixed digital radio links

EN 300 132-2 power supply characteristics

EN 300 019 climatic characteristics (in operation: class 3.2 for IDU and class 4.1 for ODU; storing:
class 1.2; transport: class 2.3)

EN 60950 for the operator safety.

1.2

CHARACTERISTICS

The reported values are guaranteed if not specifically defined otherwise.

1.2.1

Versions

Two versions of ODU are available: ODU AS and ODU ASN. The two versions are similar. Differencies will
be pointed out. Regarding ODU ASN, the units without isolator have SIAE code GE9xxx, the units with
isolator have SIAE code GE8xxx.

AS 38/ASN 38 - MN.00236.E - 004

RF loop is available for ODU AS. An equivalent feature is available on request for ODU ASN.

a. The typical values are achieved with 48 Vdc of input power voltage. For ALCplus2 IDU the power consumption
refers to the equipment loaded with traffic on Ethernet and 16xE1 interfaces. For ALCplus2 the power consumption
refers to the IDU with Ethernet and 16xE1 interfaces fully loaded.
In ALCplus2 1+1 (all version) the two power connectors are in parallel.
