CHARACTERISTICS
1.2.1
Versions
Two versions of ODU are available: ODU AS and ODU ASN. The two versions are similar. Differencies will
be pointed out. Regarding ODU ASN, the units without isolator have SIAE code GE9xxx, the units with
isolator have SIAE code GE8xxx.
RF loop is available for ODU AS. An equivalent feature is available on request for ODU ASN.

a. The typical values are achieved with 48 Vdc of input power voltage. For ALCplus2 IDU the power consumption
refers to the equipment loaded with traffic on Ethernet and 16xE1 interfaces. For ALCplus2 the power consumption
refers to the IDU with Ethernet and 16xE1 interfaces fully loaded.
In ALCplus2 1+1 (all version) the two power connectors are in parallel.

The ODU units of a 1+1 system with single antenna are coupled to the antenna by means of an hybrid,
available in different versions, whose branching losses are listed here below.
