The Role
General Job Description (Role Objectives)
Design; coordinate and oversee an in-house draughting team in the design of Light
Gauge Steel Framed Buildings.
List of Responsibilities (Job Description)

Design of Light Gauge Steel structures plus hot rolled steel.

Buildings to be designed efficiently using FrameCad & FrameCad Pro with Detail
to meet local and international design standards. Buildings design range from
G+4 Stand Alone Structures, Continuous walling & Infill systems using Light
Gauge Steel Profiles.
Co-ordinate with Sales, Marketing & Estimation Team with regards to enquiries
and design requirements.
Co-ordinate within Engineering & Design Department with regards to other
design disciplines and internal procedures and operations.
Co-ordinate with Production and Operations Departments regarding the
execution of designs.
Manage design priorities.
Ensure that internal procedures are maintained.
Preparation of supporting construction documents and specifications.
Work on a wide range of commissions, from technical analysis, engineering
design, inspection, certification, & feasibility studies.
Check designs and assist with technical problems which may arise.
Perform site visits as required.
Ensure that the hardware and software requirements for the design are managed.
Be willing to liaise with Customers, Architects & Contract Managers.

Reporting to: Lead Engineer / Department Manager.

Subordinates: Draughting Team.

Probation Period: 6 months
Working Hours: Sat - Thurs; 7:30am-5pm. Travel Requirement: N/A
Monthly Salary: OMR.
Bonus: Paid in line with annual company profits and/or local labor law.

Requirements
Required Candidate Profile (Personal Attributes; Qualifications &
Experience):
Personal Attributes:
Good command of English Language, spoken and written.
Self starter and self motivated.
Use initiative and be organized.
Ensure that project deadlines are met.
Must be able to Multi Task.

Must be capable of working under pressure to meet tight submission

schedules.
Must be willing to work overtime to meet the schedule completion dates.
Must be capable of scheduling and managing own work load plus others.
Must be a team player.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certified AutoCAD designer.
Trained in designing Light Gauge Steel Framed Building principles; eg.
FrameCad Pro or similar software suites.
Experience in the Building Industry particular to interiors, housing,
commericial and steel structure construction.

Experience in a wide range of medium to large scale projects.
Competent with MS Office Software.
