Organisational Phenomena to be analysed

We would analyse HDFC Banks venture into banking, the process of building a sound, efficient, technology based
bank in the private sector since its evolution from 1994 to 2015. We will analyse the role of its strong organisational
governance which was the driver for its sustainable growth over the years. Through this report, we would provide
insights on how HDFC went through the hardships of the initial days of assembling resources, creating organisational
structure, especially the manpower and business partners. One of the most interesting parts that we would cover in
our analysis is HDFCs acumen with regard to assembling like-minded and talented professionals and creating a
corporate culture suited for mergers.
Another very important aspect, that we would like to emphasise, is the search for best-fit executives for top positions
in the bank and how the search enabled HDFC to use technology to provide world-class services to its customers. We
also plan to analyse HDFCs inorganic growth via mergers and the decisions taken by the managers and their impact
on the organisational lifecycle.
Our primary focus in this report will be to find out the importance of selecting the core team and ensuring best fit for
each important focus area and how such selection was the reason behind HDFCs phenomenal success.
