French Nationals residing in the Puducherry UT and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession
shall be treated on par with the candidates who produce the prescribed Puducherry UT residence
certificate. Such French Nationals will not be required to produce residence certificate instead they
should produce a certificate of registration issued for this purpose from the French Consulate at
Puducherry.
Note: Children of these French Nationals shall not be considered for admission under the quota of nonresidents.
g) All the above certificates will be scrutinized first by a committee appointed by the Secretary
(Revenue), before final merit list is prepared. Tahsildars of various Taluks and Revenue officers
will be the members of this committee.
3.0 APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS THROUGH ONLINE PROCESS ONLY
The online application forms for admission along with information Bulletin 2015-16 can be downloaded
from CENTAC website www.centaconline.in from 09.05.2015 onwards. The last date for applying through
online is 18.05.2015.
WHILE FILLING THE APPLICATION ALL THE CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE THEIR MOBILE
NUMBER WHICH IS MANDATORY.
A model of filled in online application is available for ready reference in the CENTAC website. Any other

Applications which are incomplete, defective will summarily be rejected and no correspondences shall
be entertained in this regard.
4.0 DETAILS OF RESERVATION AND SPECIAL ALLOCATION
4.1 UT of Puducherry Candidates in Colleges run by the Societies of Government of Puducherry
Reservations in admission to various degree courses offered by colleges run by the societies of Government
of Puducherry for Puducherry UT candidates belonging to different categories are given below. Further
SC/BT/EBC/MBC/BCM/OBC candidates are also eligible for selection under Open competition/General
category in addition to the reservations made to them.

Candidates claiming admission under these categories should enclose the recent EBC/BCM/BT
certificate issued by an Officer of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, not
below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.

from a Medical Board should not be more than THREE MONTHS old from the date of submitting
his/her certificate for disabled candidates.
The certificates must have been obtained within three months prior to submitting the application for seeking
admission under the category, in case certificate has been obtained earlier, the application will be rejected. The
medical certificate issued by District Medical board of the area concerned for this purpose is subject to the
confirmation by the Director of Health and Family Welfare Service.
NOTE:
1. The candidates seeking MBBS/BDS course under this category will be required to undergo
second Medical examination by a Medical board constituted for the purpose by the Director of
Health and Family Welfare. Service, Puducherry, to ascertain and confirm the nature and extent
of physical disability.
2. Candidates with any other DISABILITY other than the locomatory disability of the lower limb will
not be considered for the admission into MBBS/BDS course under this special category. Such
application will be summarily rejected without any intimation to the candidates.
3. The decision of the Director of Health and Family Welfare Service, Puducherry, in this regard will
be final.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
For Consideration of candidates seeking admission under the category of Sports Person, he/she should
enclose attested photo copies of participation certificates and the certificate in the prescribed forms issued
by the relevant sports authorities along with the application
Participation / Achievements in sports / games shown in the list alone, immediately preceding five years to
the year for which admission is sought for will be taken into account. National / State Level Championships
/ Tournaments conducted by Organisations / Federations recognized by Indian Olympic Association /
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, New Delhi alone will be considered for award of marks (Recognition
by the Indian Olympic Association / Ministry of Youth and Sports, New Delhi should be relevant to the
years concerned).
The relevant attested copies of the certificates issued by the appropriate authorities as detailed in the G.O
Ms.53 dt.24.05.2012 are to be submitted along with the application.
Open /Invitational Tournaments of any kind will not be considered.
For Tennis Achievements of Top 3 players by his/her position in the ranking list published by ATTA based
on the ranking rules and the final rankings of previous 4 years will be awarded marks for achievements
and participation (Necessary forms from Associations are to be enclosed)
For Cricket the Annual Official Championship / Tournaments conducted within the country under the
auspices of BCCI at District / State National Level alone will be taken into consideration for that year.
The participation / achievements of candidates with nativity of Puducherry Union Territory and who
represented Union territory of Puducherry alone are eligible for marks under National Category.
Only Union territory of Puducherry candidates are eligible to apply for admission under Sports Quota and
only the KVS/NVS/CBSE Schools within Puducherry are eligible for marks.
All the achievement certificates are to be supported necessarily by the relevant participation Certificates
and appropriate Form / Certificates.
No further enclosures of certificates will be entertained after the last date for submission of completed
application.
A Candidate can utilize the sports quota only once for these admissions.
A Committee will be constituted to scrutinize the applications received under this category
and will rank the candidates based on the marks assigned to the certificate enclosed along
with the application and the sports merit list will be published in the CENTAC website.
4.1.9
Special Regional Allocation for Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam subject to revision of G.O if any.
Candidates claiming admission under this category should be resident of the respective region,
for a continuous period of 5 years from the last date of on-line application.

To claim admission under special allocation from Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions, candidates
should have studied in the recognized schools located in the respective regions continuously for
three (3) years, immediately preceding the qualifying examination (including the year of the
qualifying examination). Mere stay in places such as residential hostel would not amount to
residence. They should produce residence certificate from the competent authority not below the
rank of Deputy Tahsidar.
These candidates should enclose the necessary certificate in the prescribed format only
(Annexure-III)
This certificate should be obtained from the Head of the Institution in which they studied, and
countersigned by the respective Chief Educational Officers of Karaikal and Mahe Regions, and
the Regional Administrator of Yanam Region. They should also enclose residence certificate
issued by an Officer of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, not below the
rank of Deputy Tahsildar of the respective regions, clearly indicating the addresses of residence.
4.2 UT of Puducherry Candidates in Self-Financing Colleges
4.2.1
The reservation as per the policy of Government of Puducherry will be adopted for admission to
the Government quota seats in self-financing professional colleges.
UT of Puducherry Candidates in Self-Financing Engineering Colleges
The allotment of seats for Puducherry UT candidates under various categories in Self-Financing
Engineering Colleges is as per the merit list prepared by CENTAC. In this connection, the order
issued by the Education Secretariat will be kept as guidance. Available seats will be separately
notified.
4.2.2
Ranking of Candidates
Selection of Candidates for admission to all the Degree courses will be based on the Merit lists
prepared by CENTAC, based on the marks arrived at by adopting the method of normalization,
as detailed in para 5.2 below. Ranking of the candidates will be done based on the normalized
marks (rounded-off to three decimal places) arrived at, to a base of 200.
5.1.1
candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examination (i.e. Biology / Botany
& Zoology, Physics and Chemistry, including practicals) and normalizing them by the
prescribed procedure.
Wherever separate marks for practicals are awarded, the same will be considered along
with the respective subjects, for arriving at the total actual marks.
B.Sc (MLT) Course: H.Sc. Vocational Stream admission is based on the marks secured
by the candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examination. i.e. for H.Sc.
Vocational: Physics, Foundation Science and Medical Laboratory Assistant Course
(including practicals) and normalizing them by the prescribed procedure. Equal
weightage will be given to all the above three prescribed subjects. In case a candidate
has appeared in more than one of the prescribed optional subjects, the subject in which
the candidate has obtained in highest mark will be taken into consideration for
normalization and for calculating the actual total marks. Wherever separate marks for
practicals are awarded, the same will be considered along with the respective subjects,
for arriving at the total actual marks.

Normalization Procedure

In order to evolve a common base for comparing the marks obtained by the candidates
from various Based of Examinations (Refer Annexure-II), normalization procedure as
outlined below will be followed.
The marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying
examination conducted by the various Boards or Authority, shall be the equated with the
marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination,
conducted by the State Board (i.e. state Board of School Examinations, Tamil Nadu), by
adopting the method of normalization.
EXPLANATION: Under the method of normalization, the highest mark obtained by the
students of various Boards in each subject, shall be equated to the highest mark
obtained by the students of the State Board in that subject, and the relative marks of
other students in that subjects, shall be determined accordingly.
After normalization of marks of the eligible students of different Boards, in the relevant
subjects, the normalized marks obtained shall be merged into a common merit list.
In cases, where more than one student have got the same marks in the COMMON
merit List, the inter, the inter-se merit among such students shall be determined in the
manner prescribed as para 5.3 below.
For the purpose of normalization of marks of candidates from Other State, except for
the B.Tech course, for all other such courses, wherever such quota is available,
maximum marks obtained in the respective subjects, from among the various Boards
under which the above candidate have actually studied and applied for a particular
course, will only be considered.

5.3
Candidates who have qualified in examination conducted by Boards other than the
Boards notified in Annexure-II of the Information Bulletin (including Lycee Francasis)
should produce the equivalent certificate obtained from the Association of Indian
Universities, New Delhi

Admission of Professional Colleges in other states against seats Reserved for the
Candidates from U.T. of Puducherry
Admission of candidates belonging of Union Territory of Puducherry to Professional colleges
(Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy etc,) in Other States against the seats reserved for Candidates
from U.T. of Puducherry will be coordinated by CENTAC. However, they shall not be required to
submit any separate admission application for this purpose and hence the application(s) normally
submitted to CENTAC for admission to Biology-based courses, will be treated as valid for this
admission also. The Directorate of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE), Government of
Puducherry, and other concerned Authorities, will be furnishing the exact details of seats
reserved in different Colleges / Courses / States to CENTAC, well before the commencement of
the first schedule of counseling to Professional course for 2015-16 which will be made available
to all the candidates in the CENTAC website.

5.5
The students should refer the CENTAC website www.centaconline.in for merit list for all
the courses. If there are any corrections in the Name, Date of Birth, Marks in the
concerned subjects, Categories, Special categories, Regional Claim and their merit marks
they should report to the CENTAC office within two days with all original certificates
related to his/her demand.
From this year CENTAC will adopt the On-Line Counseling Method. Dates for the
counseling will be sent through SMS, E-mail and will be updated in the CENTAC
website and press releases, will be given also.
After the counseling date is announced the students should refer the CENTAC website
www.centaconline.in regularly. During that period CENTAC portal will be open from 7 am
to 7 pm.
Candidates can login to the CENTAC website only by paying the admission
processing fees through online payment (Credit cards/Debit cards/NEFT) as part of
the admission procedures.
Candidates must enter their options (unlimited options are provided) for the courses and
college (Biology based Degree courses/B.Tech Degree and B.Pharm Degree Courses) as
per their wish. Then only they should log out of the website.
After a weeks gap CENTAC will publish selection list on the website and provisional
allotment will be posted on the CENTAC website and the same may be downloaded
from the CENTAC website. (Intimation will be sent through SMS/Email)
After downloading the Provisional Allotment Order the candidates should report to the
allotted college within the specified duration. If not reported in the given time, provisional
allotment will be cancelled automatically.
Similar procedure will be followed for the Second and Third round of counseling.
Candidates are asked to visit the CENTAC website frequently.

B.V.Sc & A.H-Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) is equivalent
to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
The education is through a semester system spanning 9 semesters followed by six month a
compulsory rotator internship.
The education curriculum is strenuous and challenging at RIVER with six-day working weeks,
minimal breaks between semesters, high standards of education and plenty of exams to be
passed to earn the degree.

4. ALLOCATION OF SEATS FOR DIFFERENT CATEGORIES / REGIONS
Out of the 180 seats of sanctioned intake, 85% (153) will be allotted to the candidates from UT of Puducherry. 15%
(27) seats to candidates from other states / Union Territory.
If any seat(s) is/are vacant in the Other Sates Quota the same will be filled by U.T. of Puducherry
Candidates.

1. The above fees are tentative and subject to revision from the Academic year 2015-16.
2. Fees payable to the Pondicherry University: In addition to the above, a sum `.1,338/- (University
Development fee `.1,000/- , Recognition fee `.180/-, Matriculation fee `.18/-, Registration fee `.40/-, and

Sport fee `.100/-) has to be collected from the students and remitted to the Pondicherry University at the
time of First year and Lateral entry admissions.
3. If a students discontinues the course, only the caution deposit and library deposit will be refunded within a
year of discontinuance / completion of the course.
4. Pondicherry University Examination fees shall be paid as prescribed by the University from time of time.
B) Hostel Fees:
A separate Hostel for boys has since been made available adjacent to the Institution. For Girls hostel facility has
already been provided nearby the college. Boarding facility will be arranged in the college canteen and mess fees
will be around `.2500/- (appro.) per month. The fees structure for the boys and Girls hostel is as follows.

Note: Fees paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances (Sl.No.1-5). Caution deposit and library deposit

b) Fees payable to the University: Registration fee, Matriculation fee, Recognition fee,
University development fee and Sports fee shall be paid as prescribed by the Pondicherry
University (Approx . `1.143/- for Tamil Nadu Board and `.1,248/- for other Boards)

Examination Fees: Examination Fee, Mark statement fee, etc. shall be paid as
prescribed by the Pondicherry University for each Semester.
ii.
Hostel fees: The B.Sc., (Nursing) students would be required to stay in hostel
as per requirements of the Training, as and when provided by the Institute.
They are also liable to compulsorily undergo clinical postings including night
duties in the Hospitals. The students of other courses would also be required to
stay in Hostel as per-requirements.
iii.
Hostel fees: Hostel fees have to be paid as detailed below by the students who
need hostel accommodation (hostel facilities will be provided only for female
students).
