Los engranajes del mecanismo registrador son de:

Por ser una unidad compacta con el motor paso a

paso(stepper motor), no se requieren ajustes
adicionales durante su vida til.
Dadas las especiales caractersticas de diseo del
medidor, el registrador solo se mueve en sentido
positivo aun cuando las conexiones se encuentren
invertidas (Sistema de Registro Unidireccional o
Siempre Positivo), lo cual le da una caracterstica
ANTIFRAUDE.
Adicionalmente, el registrador cuenta con dos
protecciones a saber:
Protector contra campos magnticos externos.
Protector contra perforaciones desde el
exterior.

Generalmente la resistencia de un
shunt es conocida con precisin y
es utilizada para determinar la
intensidad de corriente elctrica
que fluye a travs de esta carga,
mediante la medicin de la
diferencia de tensin (voltaje) a
travs de ella, valindose de ello
por medio de la ley de Ohm
(I = V/R)
