U S IN G T H E W I S H B OO K . . .
1. Find your favorite charity to see if they need your donated items or volunteer skill OR
use one of the Index sections to find an agency that needs what you have to offer. Check the
agency's information in the alphabetical Agency Listings for details.
2. To volunteer, search the Volunteers Needed Index for the category that matches your
interest, skill or talent. Use the alphabetical Agency Listings to find the contact person at the
charity. Call or email the contact person directly to apply for the volunteer position or to get
more information.
3. If you have items to donate, search the Items Needed Index to find charities that need them.
Again, use the alphabetical Agency Listings to find the contact person at the agency, and call
or email that person directly to make arrangements for delivery or pickup. Please be sure that
all donated items are clean, useable, and do not have any missing pieces or pages (puzzles,
games, books, etc.) Contributions are tax deductible to the extent the law allows. (Include
your name and address.)
4. Please let the charity know that the match was made using the Wishbook. There is no
charge to the charities for any of the Wishbook services, but we (and they) would appreciate
knowing the Wishbook is working for them.
5. Wishbook information is also available online at www.communitywishbook.org. Online
listings are updated as changes are received from the charities. You can search online by item,
by volunteer need, or by agency to help make a difference at any time during the year.
