Investigation of fracture behavior in gels

Mississippi State University

Advisor: Dr. Santanu Kundu

Developing a universal model contains all physical parameters to capture the fracture of gel.
Investigate the morphology change in gels at different physical conditions and mechanical loads
using small angle neutron scattering and rheology experiments.
Immobilizing antibody binding domain to achieve universal capturing of antibodies while correct
pairing a signal-amplifying output domain to achieve sensitive detection.

Instability analysis and pattern formation in soft elastic thin films

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India

Advisor: Dr. Jayati Sarkar

Theoretical calculation of pattern morphology evolution in thin elastic films, rest on substrate,
upon imposing a force.
Analysis of effect of contact area, shape of pattern, roughness of pattern of substrate and magnitude of
force on morphology evolution is carried out.
A common parameter is defined for the work of deboning and verified by the theoretical
calculation of 3D geometry and with real type roughness of substrate.
