Abdul Kalam
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (Listeni/bdl klm/; born 15 October 1931) is an Indian scientist
who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Kalam was born and raised in Rameswaram,
Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and
science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian
Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was intimately involved in the India's civilian space program and
military missile development efforts.[1] He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on
the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology.[2] He also played a pivotal organizational,
technical and political role in India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by
India in 1974.
Mother Teresa
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, MC,[3] commonly known as Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 5 September 1997),
was a Roman Catholic religious sister and missionary[4] who lived most of her life in India. She was born in
what is today Macedonia, with her family being of Albanian descent originating in Kosovo. Mother Teresa
founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over
4,500 sisters and is active in 133 countries. They run hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy
and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's and family counselling programmes;
orphanages; and schools. Members must adhere to the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as well as a
fourth vow, to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor".
Bill Gates
William Henry "Bill" Gates III (born October 28, 1955) is an American business magnate, philanthropist,
investor, computer programmer, and inventor.[3][4][5] Gates originally established his reputation as the cofounder of Microsoft, the worlds largest PC software company, with Paul Allen. During his career at Microsoft,
Gates held the positions of chairman, CEO and chief software architect, and was also the largest individual
shareholder until May 2014.[6][a] He has also authored and co-authored several books. Today he is consistently
ranked in the Forbes list of the world's wealthiest people[9] and was the wealthiest overall from 1995 to 2014
excluding a few brief periods post-2008.[10] Between 2009 and 2014 his wealth more than doubled from $40
billion to more than $82 billion.[11] Between 2013 and 2014 his wealth increased by $15 billion, or around $1.5
billion more than the entire GDP of Iceland in 2014.[12] Gates is currently the richest man in the world.

Viswanathan Anand

Viswanathan "Vishy" Anand (born 11 December 1969) is an Indian chess Grandmaster and former World Chess
Champion.
He held the FIDE World Chess Championship from 2000 to 2002, at a time when the world title was split. He
became the undisputed World Champion in 2007 and defended his title against Vladimir Kramnik in 2008. He
then defended his title in the World Chess Championship 2010 against Veselin Topalov and in the World Chess
Championship 2012[3] against Boris Gelfand. In the World Chess Championship 2013 he lost to challenger
Magnus Carlsen and he lost again to Carlsen in the World Chess Championship 2014.
Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal (About this sound pronunciation (helpinfo); born 17 March 1990) is an Indian badminton player
who is currently ranked No. 2 in the world by Badminton World Federation Women's Singles 2015.[4][5][6]
She is the first Indian to win a medal in Badminton at the Olympics.[7] She achieved this feat by winning the
Bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012 on 4 August 2012.[8] She is also the first Indian after Prakash
Padukone and the first Indian woman to become world number 1.[4] Besides these, she is the first Indian to win
the World Junior Badminton Championships and was also the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament, by
clinching the Indonesia Open on 21 June 2009. Saina is supported by the Olympic Gold Quest.
A. R. Rahman
Allah-Rakha Rahman (About this sound pronunciation (helpinfo), born A. S. Dileep Kumar on 6 January 1967)
is an Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician and philanthropist.[3] Rahman's works are
noted for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music, world music and traditional orchestral
arrangements. Among his awards are two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden
Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. Rahman's body
of work for film and stage has given him the nickname of "the Mozart of Madras", and Tamil commentators and
fans call him Isai Puyal (English: the Musical Storm).
