This student interactive, from Illuminations, allows students to create patches like those
used in quilting. Available shapes include triangles, squares, parallelograms, and more.
The student can demonstrate their understanding of trends (patterns) and create a model

Environmental Problem and Solution – This is just one idea to


incorporate creative thinking, construct of knowledge, and
development of innovative products and process.

After determining an environmental problem or issue, the student can


search safely using www.Thinkfinity.org. After researching the
problem, the student can use a simple presentation software program
to demonstrate their ability to identify, research, and collect data on an
environmental issue using digital resources and propose a
developmentally appropriate solution. Impress is one graphical
