Scope
Theworkconsistsofthemobilizationanddemobilizationofthecontractor'sforcesandequipment
necessaryforperformingtheworkrequiredunderthecontract.Itdoesnotincludemobilizationand
demobilizationforspecificitemsofworkforwhichpaymentisprovidedelsewhereinthecontract.
Mobilizationwillnotbeconsideredasworkinfulfillingthecontractrequirementsforcommencementof
work.
2. Equipmentandmaterial
Mobilizationshallincludeallactivitiesandassociatedcostsfortransportationofcontractor'spersonnel,
equipment,andoperatingsuppliestothesite;establishmentofoffices,buildings,andothernecessary
generalfacilitiesforthecontractor'soperationsatthesite;premiumspaidforperformanceandpayment
bondsincludingcoinsuranceandreinsuranceagreementsasapplicable;andotheritemsspecifiedin
section4ofthisspecification.
Demobilizationshallincludeallactivitiesandcostsfortransportationofpersonnel,equipment,and
suppliesnotrequiredorincludedinthecontractfromthesite.Thisincludesthedisassembly;removal;
andsitecleanupofoffices,buildings,andotherfacilitiesassembledonthesitespecificallyforthis
contract.
Thisworkincludesmobilizationanddemobilizationrequiredbythecontractatthetimeofaward.If
additionalmobilizationanddemobilizationactivitiesandcostsarerequiredduringtheperformanceofthe
contractasaresultofchanged,deleted,oraddeditemsofworkforwhichthecontractorisentitledtoan
adjustmentincontractprice,compensationforsuchcostswillbeincludedinthepriceadjustmentforthe
itemoritemsofworkchangedoradded.

3. Measurementandpayment
Compensationforanyitemofworkdescribedinthecontract(butnotlistedinthebidschedule)is
includedinthepaymentfortheitemofworktowhichitismadesubsidiary.Suchitems(andtheitemsto
whichtheyaremadesubsidiary)areidentifiedinsection4ofthisspecification.
4. Itemsofworkandconstructiondetails
Itemsofworktobeperformedinconformancewiththisspecificationandtheconstructiondetailsare:
SubsidiaryItemMobilizationandDemobilization
(1) Thisitemshallconsistofthemobilizationanddemobilizationofthecontractor'sforcesand
equipmentnecessaryforperformingtheworkrequiredunderthecontract.Itdoesnotinclude
mobilizationanddemobilizationforspecificitemsofworkforwhichpaymentisprovided
elsewhereinthecontract.
(2) Transportationofanymaterialsincorporatedintothepermanentworksshallnotbe
consideredamobilizationitem.

(3) Allroads,culverts,bridges,sidewalks,parkinglots,fences,structures,etc.,shallbeprotected
fromdamageduringthecontractperiod.Roadsurfacesshallbeprotectedfromdamagesby
equipment.
(4) Accessshallbeasshownonthedrawings.Ifalternateroutesareobtainedbythecontractor,
theymustbeapprovedbytheengineerortheinspectorpriortouse.Allaccessroutesshallbe
restoredbythecontractortoaconditionequaltoorbetterthantheconditionpriortothe
commencementofworkunderthiscontract.

NoseparatepaymentwillbemadeforMobilizationandDemobilization.Compensationfor
thisitemwillbeincludedinthepaymentfor*Excavation*Earthfill.

BidItem*MobilizationandDemobilization
(1) Thisitemshallconsistofthemobilizationanddemobilizationofthecontractor'sforcesand
equipmentnecessaryforperformingtheworkrequiredunderthecontract.Itdoesnotinclude
mobilizationanddemobilizationforspecificitemsofworkforwhichpaymentisprovided
elsewhereinthecontract.
(2) Transportationofanymaterialsincorporatedintothepermanentworksshallnotbe
consideredamobilizationitem.
(3) Allroads,culverts,bridges,sidewalks,parkinglots,fences,structures,etc.,shallbeprotected
fromdamageduringthecontractperiod.Roadsurfacesshallbeprotectedfromdamagesby
equipment.

Accessshallbeasshownonthedrawings.Ifalternateroutesareobtainedbythecontractor,theymustbe
approvedbytheengineerortheinspectorpriortouse.Allaccessroutesshallberestoredbythe
contractortoaconditionequaltoorbetterthantheconditionpriortothecommencementofworkunder
thiscontract.

Paymentformobilizationanddemobilizationwillbemadeatthecontractlumpsumpricefortheitem
andwillconstitutefullcompensationforalllabor,equipment,tools,andotheritemsnecessaryand
incidentaltothecompletionofthework.
