61029 LOS on unit $U, [ethernet] interface $IF

Meaning
No signal is received on the interface referenced in the alarm text. All
other transmission alarms related to this signal are suppressed.
Probable causes for Ethernet interfaces: - a cable is cut or there is no
cable connected to the interface - the electrical signal is excessively
attenuated - the port at the connected far end node is switched off.
Instructions
1. Check that the cables are connected to the correct connectors.
2. Check that the interface at the far-end interface is switched on.
3. Check whether there are active alarms at the far end. If there are,
follow the instructions for handling those alarms.
4. To verify that the hardware of the interface unit works correctly,
connect a loop cable and check whether the alarm disappears.

Flexi Multiradio LTE BTS Basic Troubleshooting

Instructions
Perform the steps below in the listed order until the BTS Fault
disappears.
1. Check the connection with adjacent BTS based on whether the X2
link is broken respectively.
2. Check if the adjacent BTS is operational. If this fault happens right
after a commissioning or a configuration change, verify the IP
address of the adjacent BTS

Flexi Multiradio LTE BTS Basic Troubleshooting

Perform the steps below in the listed order until the BTS fault
disappears.
1. Check the other active BTS faults and act accordingly.
2. Check the cables between the System Module and RF Module. Note
that dirty optical connectors may cause the signal level to drop too
low.
3. Depending on the fault source, reset the RF Module and/or System
Module by blocking/unblocking it.
4. Replace the alarming module's Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP).
Check also the SFP in the other end and replace it, if needed.
5. Replace the alarming RF Module.
6. If the System Module is the only alarming source or replacing the
RF Module does not clear the fault situation, replace the alarming
System Module.

BTSOM interface ; BTSOM

BTS operation and maintenance interface
Definition: interface between a base transceiver station (BTS) and the
operation and iOMS
integrated operation mediation system ; iOMS
Definition: in NetAct, an integrated mediation component that
provides various mediation interfaces towards managed nodes
Note: The integrated operation mediation system supports, for
example, applications on FCAPS management functional areas with
concentration and aggregation functions for software distribution and
performance management data collection. FCAPS stands for fault,
configuration, accounting, performance, and security.

Effect
In case of Subscriber trace activation, if the failed trace connection
was to be used for sending the Trace Reports, then the BTS considers
the trace activation for that subscriber as failed. In case of cell trace
and interface trace, if the failed trace connection was to be used for
sending the Trace Reports, then the BTS does not start tracing until
the trace connection is established successfully.
Instructions
Check the connection with iOMS/3rd Party tool.

value exceeding the defined level. The antenna line is mismatched or
damaged.
1. Check the antenna cables, connectors, antenna and possible
antenna line devices.
2. Check the antenna line (TX-cable-antenna) impedance matching.
