- In the early days of Christianity,

The fish was the identifying symbol of Christians,
because in Greek, the letters of the word fish meant:
Jesus Christ Gods Son, Saviour.
Later on, the fish symbol was replaced by the Cross.

<
- We are proud of the Cross because Jesus, the Son of God,
died on it in order to save us from sin and hell.
- We place the Cross in our homes, on top of churches,
as a necklace, in our books etc...
- We make the sign of the Cross on our faces whenever we
pray, eat, leave home, work etc...
- On the Orthodox Cross there is no statue of Jesus.

Australia, South America and the United States.
- Though we speak many languages, however we should
never forget our glorious tongue ( Syriac - Aramaic ).
- Our Church uses Suryoyo in its prayers and hymns.
