MODULE-II
COLOUR &FORM
Color is one of the most fascinating things in this world. One can
never even imagine a world without colors.
Through this module I was able to understand the significance
and use of colours in detail. I also got to learn color theories
,color interaction, the effect of light on colors, etc.
Through colour theory , I was able to a logical structure for color.
The color wheel, color harmony, and the context of how colors
are used were also explored. This helped me to understand why
some specific colours are used to depict specific occasions or
things.
Observing the effects colors have on each other was also
interesting. So was the relationship of values, saturations and the
warmth or coolness and also tints, shades and tones.
Also , I got the idea about which colors are best compatible with
the other based on the color wheel.
I was also able to appreciate color and form on the basis of
physical, psychological and cultural contexts.
As a group, we also learnt how to translate attributes of a place
into a 3 dimensional form based on mood boards and color
boards.
In the last exercise, we learnt how to represent a place and the
emotions and attributes related to it using just colors.
