Team Charter

Successful teams begin with guidelines that help to manage their work. For this
class you and your teammates will need to create a set of rules called a Team
Charter. As a team, complete all the sections listed below to build your Team
Charter.

Section II: Work Plan


This section should include a plan for communication and written work.

• How will the team members share their work?


Team C will post information in the discussion by Wednesday of
every week. Also via E-mail if necessary and attaching a document to a
post in the team’s discussion board
• When will all members need to have their part of the project done so that it
can be turned in on time?
All Team C Members must post their first part of their Assignment
by Wednesday no later Than Friday at Midnight in Discussion Area.
• . What will you do if members turn in work after the deadline? If a team
member is unable to do the task or meet the deadline they should let the
team leader know no later than Wednesday. This will allow the team time
tore-allocate task. If someone falls behind the Team Leader will contact
them. If the Team Leader cannot contact them by Thursday we will re-
assign their task. That team member will not receive credit and the team
member who is re-assigned the task will receive credit.

• How will you manage team members who do not participate? Team
members who do not participate will not receive credit. All team members
must agree to credit being with held. The Task would be reassigned to
another team member and that team member will receive credit. Then
this would be brought to the attention of the professor.

• How will you choose your team leader? We have chosen the team leader,
Jaqua Curiel who volunteered and all members of the group have agreed.
• What will be the responsibilities of the team leader? The team leader will
be responsibilities will be to follow up with each team member to make
sure tasks are completed. To make sure are task are assign through
volunteering.

Section III: Conflict Management


This section should include your plan for conflict management.
• What are potential conflicts that might arise among or between team
members during this course?
Potential conflicts may arise among team members during course
if:
1. There is lack of communication.
2. There are Time Zones are differences
3. Primary distraction causes and issues with summiting work on
time.
4. Disagreement among team members.

• How do team members agree together that they will deal with these and
other conflicts?
1. By meeting every week on Sunday and posting main points in the
discussion area.
2. Follow up chats on Tuesday so that everyone is on the same page.
3. Planning ahead on meetings, and making the time and effort to
make contact with each other.
4. Disagreement will be handled by majority rule.

Section IV: Team Goals


this section should include your team goals.

• What are your team goals?


1. Have Team Member post by Wednesday no later than Friday.
2. Summit assignments no later than Friday by midnight.
3. Each Team member consistently participates with relevant ideas.

• What are potential barriers to the achievement of these goals? How will
you overcome these potential barriers?

Potential barriers to these goals are:

1. Non participation by team members


2. Time zone conflicts
3. Disagreements on task
4. Lack of communications

Team D will overcome these barriers in the following ways:


1. Non participating member will not be giving credit. All team
members must agree to member not getting credit. A must have a
viable reason for not getting task done to be given some credit.(all
members must agree)

2. An agreed time for meeting each week that is suitable for all
members to be present.

3. Team members must compromise and there will be a vote by all


members and the majority rule.

4. Team member will communicate by posting in discussion board


with attachments. By weekly meetings, email and also by using the
team doc sharing feature.

Section V: Project Plan: Making a plan at the beginning of each week


ensures that each team member has a clear understanding of the
expectations for the week.
