a)

State the basic rules to be followed when conducting a leveling.

b)

Benchmark (BM) is a reference point in leveling. Explain about BM and Standard


Benchmark (SBM).
(5 marks)

c)

Figure 2 illustrates the leveling carried out at Jalan Seri Iskandar started at BM K12 and
finish at BM K13. Observations are made in sequence from instrument stations S^ S2
and S3. Based on the data given in Table 2;

ii) Calculate the final reduced level of point A, B, C, D, E, F, and G using the rise and
fall method.
