TRENTON - The summers biggest must-see TV

show was the first Republican presidential primary debate, when Fox News Channel averaged a record 24 million viewers during coverage of the Aug. 6 event in
Cleveland.
But records are made to be broken, and frontrunner
Donald Trump and the other GOP hopefuls are back for
their fifth debate Tuesday night, which is shaping up to
be another highly anticipated showdown.
My prediction is this one will have TV ratings that
will break the Fox record, said Larry Mendte, the host
of news talk shows on WJLP/Me-TV. Trumps been all
over the news. Its absolutely all because of Trump. People want to see him. They want to see the Republicans
fight and hear him say something outlandish.
The August debate was the highest-rated non-sports
telecast in cable television history and a September debate televised by CNN drew 23.1 million viewers.

Adam Resnick walked through the doors of his

new apartment off North Main Street in Barnegat
and sank into a wide leather chair, quite at ease.
Adam, 40, who has autism and an intellectual disability, is moving out of his parents home and into a
shared apartment that is clean, brightly-lit and affordable. Hell move into the furnished unit early
next year.
When you have a child like Adam, youre always
thinking: What will happen to him when Im not
around? said Ilene Resnick, his mother. This is
the kind of place hed live in if he was a normal guy.
Creating such affordable housing, for a broad
spectrum of residents, is at the center of a long, convoluted battle in New Jersey, one that is unfurling in
the courts as 15 Superior Court judges wrestle over
the perennial question: how much affordable housing should each town be required to provide?

Youve heard about the Syrian refugee crisis. Vinita Pitchumoni has seen it
up close. The pediatrician from Manalapan just spent a week in Jordan treating
displaced children.
It was an experience she wont soon
forget.
They all have post-traumatic stress
disorder, she said. They have seen soldiers come into
their homes. They have seen family members beheaded. Theyve seen their houses burned down.
There are 13-year-old kids wetting the bed.
For Pitchumoni, a mother of 5-year-old twins who
works in the emergency department at CentraState
Medical Center in Freehold, helping others is a calling.
In 2014 she spent a week in Uganda vaccinating children who never had seen a doctor before.
