Requirements, Specifications and Responsibilities of Mission

Reception
Morning Shift: 08:00 to 12:00
Main Shift: 10:00 to 19:00
Night Shift: 19:00 to 01:00

Rough cleaning of entrance hole,
Making living room ready for breakfast,
Answering mails from last night,
Check in and out processing,
Preparing check out list according to night shift and day information,
Cleaning the breakfast table.

Main Shift:

Managing the whole hostel work organization,


Deciding which volenteer will doing what,
Bridge between day and night,
Ensuring the cleaning breakfast and lunch procurement,
Checking availabilities and mail (booking) consistency,
Keeping saloon clean and tidy.

Night Shift:

Physical check of rooms, beds, conditions of toilests and terrace,


Answering mails,
Asking for check outs and extensions,
Information sharing among guests and establishing bridges is necessary,
Keep living area, kitchen and terrace clean,
Keeping kitchen ready and tidy for breakfast maker, (washing the dishes)
Staying in building in the case of emergecy, usually in Presence room,
Reporting the early leavings and late arrival (late walk in) for morning shift.

Cleaning:
Start time: 11:00 or 12:00 (optional)
1) 6 toilets (each 15 min, total 1,5 h)
2) Corridors (each 10 min, total 30 min.)
3) Stairways and entrance (30 min.)
(Total app. 02.30 h.)
4) Deep cleaning of each shower once a week,
5) Cleaning of floors, toilets and sink cleaning daily
6) Supply soap, papers and towels,
7) Washing bath mats and towels daily,

8) Keeping bins clean and empty,


9) Informing for any need regarding tasks and needs of shower, toilets to main shift,
10) Keeping cleaning materials in the certain places ready for the next day.
House keeping:
Main need is keeping rooms and beds ready for next day!
Start time: 10:00- 10:30

Room and bed cleaning (max. 3 h.),


Washing and drying (hanging and collecting) of sheets (max. 2 h.),
Once a week cleaning,
After chech out, sweeping and moping (wet cleaning) the floor,
Keeping bins empty in rooms and dorms,
Cleaning of the tables, shelves and wardrobes,
Looking under and sides of beds,
Strong cooperation with main shift person.

Kitchen:
Main need is preperation of breakfast and lunch
Start time: 07:30

Continuity of breakfast ( food, beverage (tea!) or plate supply ),


Providing foods in the previous evening,
Preparing lunch for staff,
Keeping fridge clean and tidy,
Keeping cupboard clean and tidy,
Keeping floor and sink clean,
Asking staff for their wishes to eat for lunch
Maintain basic spices and needs weekly (oil, sugar, vegatables, fruits)
We do not eat animals.

Volunteering :
..means 100% free will to participate daily works in our living areas.

1 day volunteering is app. 5 h. help (max. 3 h. min 2h. intense work) or ( min 2 h.
max. 3 h. slight work)
1 free day in a week (pre-decided)
Volunteer gets 1 bed, breakfast and lunch daily (including free days)
The max. volunteering period between May 2015 and November 2015 is 1 month,
The max. volunteering period between December 2015 and May 2016 is max. 3
month.

Volunteering subjects
1) Organizational (reception)

2) Technical (specific contributions like web page, content developing, P&R, hand
working, repair and maintanence of buildings)
3) Kitchen (breakfast & lunch)
4) Cleaning in two main area;
a) Cleaning of toilets+ coridores+ stairways+ entrance
b) Housekeeping: rooms+dorms+preparing sheets
