2.3Fundamental Operations
There are five types of operations with front panel:
Short press: press the button,release in 1~2s
Long press 2s: press the button about 2s,release after 2s tone beep
Long press 4s:press the button about 4s,release after 4s tone beep
Clockwise rotate: clockwise rotating the knob, once valid rotation with a short
beep
Anticlockwise rotate: anti-clockwise rotating the knob, once valid rotation with
short beep
2.4Definition of the front panel operation
In detail, this section explains the function of all knobs & buttons, and
standard operation with front panel. Most operation and parameters adjust can
be realized by following the introduction of this section.
2.4.1 Switch Area
Main AC Switch: Located on the down left of the front panel;
ON: Connected with net-work supply, equipment gets power supply;
OFF: Cut off the power supply, equipment loses power.
Key Switch: Located on the up left of the front panel;

EN: Enable power control, external fan is powered and temperature control start
works,
INH: deep sleep state, all power outputs are cut off. Laser state LED on front
panel (Part20 in Figure 2-1) start flickering; When Key switch from EN to INH,
temperature control and cooling fan continue works 1mins to eliminate the heat.
2.4.2 Button Area (As show in figure2.4.2)

A. Local/Remote Select Button:Switch between Local control and Remote control,

Local Mode: Can switch LD between working mode and sleeping mode,
by short pressing LD Trig Button; can adjust current setting
by rotating current setting knob. (Long Press 2S T-encoder,
There would be a 0.5S length beeping tone, When in
current setting mode, the adjusting bit in current display area
would be flickering. Press T-encoder to set the current, just
long press 2S, current adjust to new value immediately.)
Remote Mode: Front Panel turns into invalid, and perform the operations
on PC. Outside control model, current output decides by
analog modulation. Effective output decides by TTL.
Remark: analog modulation voltage 0-5V / current 0-70A.
TTL signal: low level 0V/high 5V.
For example: When analog modulation Voltage is 5V, then output TTL
signals (0-5V), current output through LD is the acme 70A
of TTL..
If analog modulation Voltage is 5V, current output is 42A,
current output through LD is the acme 42A of TTL.
B. Prar-Sel Button:
Through this button can set mode in different parameter setting.
(Temperature, current peak, Ann limit current, protect
current, current adjust rate, Ann limit voltage, protect
voltage, temperature heat sink)
Note: this button valid must be in set mode, through the long press
2 S T-encoder can enter setup mode.
C. LD Trig Button
Local operation mode, LD switch between setting value and threshold current ever

one short press of LD Trig.
Working state: Threshold Current according to the current by current
adjust rate rose to setting current. Reach a set after the
current keep still. Power on, the LDC and LDV is alight,
Sleeping state: Setting Current according to the current by current adjust
rate rose to Threshold Current. Reach a threshold after the
current keep still. Power on, the LDC and LDV is alight,
D. T-Encoder
When set to Local model and key switch opened, the standby state, May to the
T-encoder buttons to dial the code used 5 kinds of operating mode:
(a) Long Press 2S,
Switch from display mode to adjusting mode. There would be a 0.5S length
beeping tone, when in setting mode, the adjusting bit in current
/voltage/temperature display area would be flickering. Through to the Prar-Sel
buttons short press could set different parameters.

(b) Short Pressing Once,
When in setting mode, short press T-encoder would be a 0.5S length
tone, then could set different parameters.

Adjusting speed shifts one degree, switch among: 000.1A/step; 001.0A/step;


010.0A/step; (a valid press may accompany with a short beep tone). The adjusting
bit would be flickering.
Clockwise rotating, increases current value;
Anti-clockwise rotating, decreases current value.
A valid rotation, there would be a short beep tone; if not, the
operation is invalid.
(When complete adjusting, another long press 2S
adjusting mode.)

(c) Clockwise rotating in the setting status: increase flicker to set parameters

(e) Long Press 4S T-encoder: Preserve the last using value parameters after
power off not lost.

2.4.3 Pulse & Current Display Area (Figure 2.4.3)
(a) When Digital head without any flashing; into display mode.
In this mode: Display LD actual voltage with 0.01A precision.
(b) When Digital head flashing; into the display mode.
In this mode:
LDC alight: rotating T-encoder Peak current can be set. Short press
T-encoder can set parameters.
CLP alight: rotating T-encoder current limit can be set. Short press T-encoder
can set parameters.
OCP alight: rotating T-encoder protection current can be set. Short press
T-encoder can set parameters.
CTR alight: rotating T-encoder Current adjust rate can be set. Short press
T-encoder can set parameters.
(c) Other functions
When over current limit, current no longer increases. (CLP flashing)
When over protection value, current to 0, then need to power off. After power on
,
the power supply can continues to use. (OCP flashing)

2.4.4 Voltage Display Area (Figure 2.4.4)
(a) When Digital head without any flashing; into display
mode.
In this mode: Display LD actual voltage with 0.01V
precision.
(b) When Digital head flashing; into the display mode.
In this mode:
LDV alight: rotating T-encoder voltage limit can be set. Short press
T-encoder can set parameters.
OVP alight: rotating T-encoder protection voltage can be set. Short press
T-encoder can set parameters.
(QDW/QDF cut no ice)
(c) Other functions
When over voltage limit, voltage not longer increases. (LDV flashing)
When over protection value, voltage to 0, then need to power off. After power on
,
the power supply can continues to use. (OVP flashing)
2.4.5 Temperature Display (Figure 2.4.5)
(a) When Digital head without any flashing; into display mode.
In this mode: Display actual temperature of circuit with 0.01.
precision.
(b) When Digital head flashing; into the display mode.
In this mode: rotating T-encoder temperature can be set. Short press T-encoder c

set parameters.( TC2/TC3/TC4 cut no ice)
(c) Other functions
When LD temperature to protect temperature, TC1 flickering, then need to power
off. After power on, the power supply can continues to use.

2.5 Definition of the Back panel operation
This section explains the basic functions and regular operation of the back pane
l.
2.5.1 Power Input Area (As show in figure2.5.1)
Power Supply Insurance switch: Turn off the switch the front panel any
operation is invalid.
Power Supply Insurance: Power supply input Insurance. Maximum current 10A
110V AC input Socket: Power adapter line connects Socket. Figure2.5.1 Power inpu

Safety grounding terminal: make case reliable grounding.
Attention: Maximum input power 1kw.
2.5.2 Temperature control/modulation system Area (As show in
figure2.5.2)
TCD Aviation plug contains Temperature sensor NTC input, TEC output
driver, TTL/ATN modulation etc. Specific line sequence sees Appendix
IV.

Attention: TTL/ATN modulation only in Remote mode.
2.5.3 LD Power output Area (As show in figure2.5.3)
LDP Aviation plug output anode, LDN output cathode, Specific line
sequence sees Appendix II-III. LD anode output for 16 root red high
temperature line, LD cathode output for 16 root green.
Attention:
Please distinguish anode and cathode before connection, prevent
connect wrong break LD! If LD was less than 3.3 V, may be because
the wires are too long cause pressure drop. Figure2.5.3 Power output
2.5.4 RS232 COM / Interlock Area (As show in figure2.5.4)
RS232 sequence sees Appendix I.
Interlock is equivalent to a sudden stop switch, normally
connect current output. Disconnect no output.

2.6 Protection State:
Perfect double protection functions of the Power Supply.
1. Safety Protect
Circuit into security restrictions protection status, current will no longer
continue to increase. When set current or voltage to 0 , the system will default
values for its biggest that is full of the output value.
2. In Protect States:
Over Voltage protect: Voltage Lamp stops polling, and enter alight state.
Over Current protect: Current Lamp stops polling, and enter alight state.
Protection Voltage & current, No protection if set to 0.

2.Panel Operation Introduce
2.7Example of once standard operation:
Please DO as the introduced operation sequence! The essential principle of this
operating guide is safety. On one hand, protect human body safe; on the other ha
nd,
protect the apparatus not be damaged.
Power On operation:
First of all, check all cables are correctly connected, and the network
voltage is normal.
(1) Turn ON the Main AC Power switch(Rear Panel 34), on the rear panel;
(2) Turn the Key switch(Front Panel 2) to INH position;
(3) Switch the Local/Remote Button (Front Panel 19) to the position
expected.
(4) Turn on the Power Switch (Front Panel 3), system enter sleeping mode
after self-inspection.
(5) Turn Key Switch (Front Panel 2) to EN position, active power supply;
(6) If in Remote Control mode, use PC software control. Also control by
outside signal.
(7) If in Local Control mode:
a)
First, enter temperature parameter set mode, change or confirm
three channels thermal control (When active power supply, reload
the last time saved parameters).
b)
Second, enter pulse width & pulse frequency set mode, change or
confirm pulse width and frequency setting (When active power
supply, reload the last time saved parameters).
c)
Third, active Pulse AMP rotary knob, and adjust current amplitude
to the expected value.
d) Fourth, short press Trigger Button, control the power output
ON/OFF.
Power Off operation:
(1) First, short press Trigger Button, Turn OFF power output ;( in Remote,
TTL change to low level)
(2) Second, adjust pulse amplitude setting to 000.0;
(3) Third, turn Key Switch(Front Panel 2);
(4) At Last, wait after fan stops, then turn off the Power Switch(Front
Panel 3).

5.1Software installation
1) Attached Installation Disk.
2) After successful installation, double-click

AvrDPSSL.exe , and run the software.

5.2.1Software function area

First select the serial communication port number, (the COM port number in use
could be seen in the windows Device Manager). Default baud rate is 19200.Every
500ms, the power supply equipment would send real-time data/states to computer.
To select serial communication COM port number, please view the COM port number
in the Windows Device Manager. Click the drop-down arrow in the right side of th
e
white box, select the serial port number, and then click
.

LD Over-Current, LD Over-Voltage, Chip Over-Heat, and Power

NOTE:Because of the computational error, there may be difference in
0.02 between the values displayed on front panel and on software.

5.Software User Guide
5.3 Standard operation of software
1.
Confirm the communication cable is firmly and right. The front panel remote
control whether the switch in the state corresponding choice. (Software
operation should choose for Remote mode).

Open software, confirm the COM port No., and select the right COM port,
click connect button to build connect.

After connect, check if the default parameters (displayed in monitor area) is
ok. If not, change them and click Set button. The parameters need not
change when next use, click on Savepatameter button, the power supply will
automatically save the parameters
4.
Monitor system running state with System Running Monitor Area and
Protection State Monitor Area. Before shutting down, first select PwrOff ,
and click set button, to let power enter sleep mode.
NOTE: In Emergency, shutdown the circuit break (12) on front panel, and force th
e
power entering sleep mode.

6. Trouble shooting
1) No drive current to LD?
If temperature can not be controlled within set value when there is problem with
temperature control model, or if the temperature set is too low, LD control circ
uit

In this case, please check temperature set parameters and the connection of TEC
& NTC. Do confirm temperature sensor is firmly connected in using.
2) No Temperature control current
Check the Connect of Sensor/TEC, rule out short /open Circuit. Generally, due
to temperature control set to high, mean cryogenic temperature lower than ambien
t
temperature.
3) Temperature control current long time greatly oscillation
Calorific capacity too Small, TEC drive Voltage set too high, sensitive Thermal.
Control circuit enter control Sleeping. Show Temperature control current long ti
me
greatly oscillation. Then add Heat sink volume or reduce TEC drive voltage till
circuit steady.
In addition, the temperature sensor closes to TEC refrigeration. NTC believe
temperature change fast, then NTC inbuilt in main part and chose to control stat
ion
not TEC.
Most Trouble shooting, due to wrong operation and parameters not set properly.

technical department. After true judgment, reduce unnecessary economic loss.
