MOVIE TITLE: I NEVER PROMISED YOU A ROSE GARDEN


CHARACTERS OF THE MOVIE:
Deborah a schizophrenic girl who mentally live in a non-existing world
Dr. Fried the one who help Deborah all throughout her therapy
SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE: I Never Promise You a Rose Garden is a story
about Deborah who has been schizophrenic since her early childhood and
was brought to a mental institution for treatment. She begins the therapy
with the help of Dr. Fried to try to sort out the delusions she experience
about this kingdom, her alternate reality, and so called real world. Deborah
fights against the fear of losing her realm of escape, and she and her
therapist (Dr. Fried), try to find out what is the primarily cause of her mental
problem. She was traumatized from her past surgery that caused her intense
physical and emotional pain despite the doctors promises that it wouldnt
hurt at all. In the end Deborah finally realizes that she belong to a reality
world (with the use of cigarette because of the burning pain). It is Deborahs
decision to fight and to live than to remained to a world that only exists in
her mind.
