Market Scenario (Nepal)

The present market for antivirus in Nepal is growing at a rapid pace. There are more
than 10 brands available in the market, such as Kaspersky, Norton, E-Scan, ESET,
AVG Antivirus, AVAST, etc. Kaspersky is the leader in the Nepalese market with
more than 65% of the market share. The other brands make up the rest 35% market
share. Kaspersky offers a very competitive pricing strategy and they are the pioneers
in the market. The other brands in the market look up to Kaspersky and try to align
themselves accordingly. The usual activities that take place in the market as mainly
done by Kaspersky and the other brands follow them. A very common activity we can
see in Nepals scenario is the presence shown by the various brands in the CAN
InfoTech Exhibition or the ICT Expo. Usually all the brands have their presence in
such exhibitions and offer various offers on the products to attract customers. Quick
Heal has a market share of about 7%. The main objective of this marketing plan is
to increase the market share of Quick Heal in Nepal.

Target Segment
The target segment for this marketing plan would be people from all the age groups
but specifically people from the age group 15-40 as they are the ones who use
computers much more frequently and have knowledge about the threats they face
while surfing the internet.

SWOT Analysis:
