Dear Saifiyah girls families

As mentioned before, students most likely to be successful in school are those who
participate in school activities and have parents who are involved in their education. At
SGS , we are working hard to help our students make the best decisions about schoolwork
and positive character.
I recently read an article about inspiring teens to practice work habits that will lead them
toward being respectful adults. The author mentioned that the key to helping teens
develop healthy habits involves getting teens interested in being the best. How does that
work? The author explained that teens need examples of respectful habits modeled for
them. She talked about allowing teens to see positive relationships between mom and dad,
sisters and brothers, home and school.
Dear parents, I appreciate your support in helping your children have a productive school
year. Please continue to expect the best from your children. Continue to ask about their
homework, peer relationships, and relationships between them and their teachers.
Regardless of the profession your child chooses, my hope is that he/she will mature into a
respectful and responsible adult. Successful professionals practice common habits. They
ask good questions, consider other perspectives, collaborate with others, persist, seek new
challenges and frequently examine self. I encourage you to continue participating in the
work of shaping our teens for the future.
We have designed our academic sessions based on particular themes. It is designed to
recall , reinforce analyze , apply ,modify a particular topic in interrelated subjects so as
to make it more relevant and useful. Parents can be a great help to students in this regard.
Encourage study and review of subjects; show interest and ask questions about school
assignments. Also, ask your child how they develop their ideas or answers, practice
vocabulary words in your conversations and encourage reading and writing at home.
Parents, please continue encouraging your child to do her best. Your involvement supports,
encourages and motivates us.
Sincerely

EATING IS A NECESSITY, BUT COOKING IS AN ART

On 30th of October, we had a practical regarding breakfast meal. Our class was
divided into groups and all the groups were given different items to present for
breakfast. Our final menu was mouth-watering cheese omelet, tempting sandwiches
and we served it with fresh fruits. The menu was not only nutritionally perfect but was
also manageable in given in budget. We really enjoyed making these delicious food
items in supervision of our teacher.
In todays modern world, people are so much involved in their busy schedule that they
do not give due preference towards their health and cooking. In my opinion, cooking is
also very necessary and it requires great skills to cook appetizing dishes. Thanks to
our school, who in addition to our syllabus, also helps us in developing other skills
including cooking.
Thus, these types of curricular activities not only helped us to become selfindependent but also taught us how to do teamwork, and it built our intellectual as
well as communicating skills.

What comes in your mind after reading that. Color flames is a common pyrotechnic effect used in stage productions, fireworks and by fire
performers the world over. Generally, the color of a flame may be red, orange, blue, yellow, or white. A practical use of colored fire is the flame test.
Students of X performed a practical on one of the color flame in the laboratory. Firstly, they took the glass, then dipped the end of glass rod in Liquid
HCL, then dipped the rod in the SALT which was in the powder form called Sodium Borate and then they burned the salt in the flame which
changed the color of flame in apple green. It was a beautiful color flame. We call it magic. Right? In everyday life we see such things and reactions
but we are not aware of these reactions and chemicals thats why for all of us it is magic but those who know the reasons behind these changes call
it Chemistry.
Flames lighten up the world. It will lighten up the way to success for these students.

Today games and sport have become an integral part of the present day
school curriculum. To develop the inborn sport talent of students ,school
organize sport events to give opportunities to young children full of
energy and vigor to excel in sports.
Our school also helds enthusiastic sport event which boost our energy ,
gives us physical health and make us active and smart.
This year the theme was , SPORTS ALL AROUND THE WORLD on
27122015.We had the opportunity to play and compete in a variety of
healthy sports
Generally games are provided after several periods of classes. It enables
the student to have a healthy life and spirit. It gives them vigor and fresh
energy.Diversion of mind by way of games and sports can boost
children's learning process. Today children are over burdened, with
workload n this contest of games and sports can have a soothing effect
and lessen their negative impact. Another major contribution of games
and sports is the discipline.Children learn to abide by rules, accept
referee's decision and work as a team.

Apart from the academic aspects, games and sports play a vital role in
bringing about discipline among students, and good career opportunities.
It provides relaxation and recreation, makes school life lively and exciting
as well as makes them physically fit and mentally alive.
