However none of the five companies that collected prequal
documents returned the document. Based on these reason provided
by the respective tenderers it was agreed to ask them to submit the
information on a new date to be determined.

queries submitted this was delayed.

Wo rks on the phase 1 was substantially completed within the eight


(8) project contract period of December 20, 2007. The defects
period will end in June 2008
The contract had submitted a revised schedule for completion by
December 24, 2007, however works is approximately 90%
completed. Construction of the platform to the southern section of
the reclamation will commence upon relocation of the boulders
currently being stored at that location. It is expected that the
construction will be completed by mid February 2008, pending the
relocation of the boulders.

Tenders for the completion of the Phase 3 returned return on

paving of the perimeter road way. It id noted however that the
manhole on northeaster end of South Odeon Ave has been paved
over. This has been verbally reported to the MTW CSPNI for action.

Original Project Completed Painting of the warehouse building


commenced on September 7, 2007 and is ongoing pending the
handover of the warehouse by ODPEM. It was expected that the
warehouse would be available on Nov 12, 2007, however to date
January 18, 2008 the warehouse is still being used by the ODPEM.
Works on the exterior of the warehouse has re-commenced and was
scheduled for completion by end Jan2008. The interior painting and
shutter repair is scheduled for 30 days.

Breakdown of the A/C unit was again reported by the Berth XI Ja


Customs officers on November 16, 2007. The contractor was invited
to a meeting with the consultant and APMTJ (Nov 18, 2007) to
address the issue of the frequent breakdowns. It was noted that the
JA Customs personnel have been tampering with the A/C switches
causing problems with the system. The Ja Customs supervisors were
advised of the problem. On January 9, 2008 Customs reported that
one of the two units was not operating. The contractors has
investigated the problem and is currently executing repairs. It should
be noted that this is the first time a problem has occured with this
unit. Partial repairs has benn effected and completion of the repairs
is expected by end January 2008.

Phase 2 works will be concentrated on the JA Customs Manifest Hall. JA Customs commenced the relocation on June 15, 2007. All offices have

All plumbing and elctrical materials have been delivered and works
on these areas is currently in progress. Tiling of the level 1:- 70%,
Office to be tiled on January 21, 2008, tiling to the helpers area 80%
completed, tiling to the wash room walls and helpers bathroom along
with general grouting to be done. Level 2: Bathroom wall tiles
pending replacement of the tiles (expected to be replaced by January
22, 2008) tiles to be installed in one week. Installation of the Jacuzzi
delayed as a replacement unit is to be found. Efforts will be made to
identify a new unit on January 21, 2008. Installation of the windows
is approximately 50% completed, with the installation of the
remaining windows to commence during th eweek of January 21,
2008. Quotation for the Kitchen cupboards has been recieved for
action. Quotation s fo rht kitchen and bathroom counters to be
provided. Exteriors work: Waterproofing to the Dining and family
room wall is currently in progress for completion by January 24,
2008. Quotations for the Security system, pool repairs, fencing,
grillwork and landscaping have been received and is now being
evaluated for recommendation.

Comments

The final report was submitted to the SVP Engineering and


Development on July 13, 2007. Based on a decision to abort the
project the return of the tender bonds was requested and returned.
An effort is currently being pursued to retrofit the existing stripping
station to accommodate the additional storage. Final design
information submitted by the stakeholders-APM terminals on Friday
Jan 11 and currently being reviewed.
This project has been placed on hold pending other critical mgmt
decisions regarding the Operations and improvement in the Straddle
Carriers fleet. The report has been received and is currently being
reviewed by PAJ personnel.

Currently an effort is being made to employ resources outside the


office to complete this task.
