Dubai Modern History


Dubai (in Arabic: Dubai) is one of the seven emirates that comprise the
United Arab Emirates -EAU-. It is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the
Arabian desert.
The city of Dubai is famous for its hundreds of attractions and its large area of
skyscrapers, including the Burj Dubai, the tallest skyscraper in the world, and
blocks of buildings in Zeik Shayed Road, located in the business district of
Dubai.
The reason which has had an increase in infrastructure and lifestyle is partly
because it is a country free of taxes!
Despite being literally built on the desert, it has one of the better beaches of
the Persian Gulf, making this city an impressive attraction.
Palm Islands
The Palm Islands (Palm Islands in Spanish) are three giant, the biggest in the
world, currently under construction on the coast of the city of Dubai in the
United Arab Emirates artificial islands. The construction project, which will have
a volume of 80,000,000 cubic meters, the company holds Nakheel Properties.

Burj Khalifa (Burj Dubai)


The Burj Khalifa (Khalifa Tower) is the tallest building in the world with a height
of 828 meters. In the building they have involved more than 12,000 people
from 30 countries. He was formerly known as Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower).

mutual security and prosperity and adherence to the Arab League.
Inauguration of the Dubai International Airport.

architectural projects.
1985 Opening of the airline Emirates.Inauguracin the Jebel Ali Free Zone,
attracting significant foreign investment.
1996. Held for the first time the Dubai World Cup.Se launches the Dubai
Shopping Festival.
1999 Opening of Burj Al-Arab, the only seven-star hotel in the world.
2002. Sheikh Mohammed inaugurates the technology park DIC (Dubai Internet
City) and DMC (Dubai Media City), tax-free zone within Dubai; also it allows
foreigners to buy private property, thus laying the foundations for "New Dubai".
2003. Home of ambitious projects that include the tallest building in the world
and 200 artificial islands.
2006. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum becomes the Prime Minister
of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE.
2009 Opening of Terminal 3 and the Metro to meet the needs of the growing air
and land traffic.
2010. The skyscraper Burj Khalifa, 828 meters high and 162 plants, becomes
the tallest structure in the world created by man.
The United Arab Emirates have a diversified economy based on various sectors,
some more prevalent in certain other emirates. Excel export oil and

hydrocarbons, financial services, tourism, real estate, logistics, and


manufacturing. The main reason for diversification is the reduction of direct
economic dependence on the hydrocarbon industry
