6. A company produces a small component for an industrial product and


distributes it to five wholesalers at a fixed delivered price of Rs.2.50
per unit. Sales forecasts indicate that monthly deliveries will be 3000,
3000, 10000, 5000 and 4000 units to wholesalers I,II, III,IV and V,
respectively. The monthly production capacities are 5000, 10,000, and
12000 at plants 1,2 and 3 respectively. Respective direct costs of
production of each unit are Re.1.oo, Re 0.90, and Re 0.80 at plants w,x
and y. Transportation costs of shipping a unit from a plant to a
wholesaler are as follows.
