1 Display and Key Arrangement

The service tool front panel consists of a display with 2 lines, 16 characters per line, and 16
keys.
Some keys have a second function which is activated by pressing first the blue button (represented by the % sign below) and then the key.
The used key arrangement is as shown below:

2 Connection to DCSS
The service tool can be connected with the DCSS by two ways, directly when plugged onto
the DCSS logic board and indirectly if serial link is connected to the MCSS or OCSS in a
311/411 system configuration.
When connected to any subsystem, the service tool conducts self-tests and then executes
the set-up sequence. The following display will be made when normal communication is
established with any subsystem.

6.2.4 Cyclecount Display (keys: 325)

This set is used to display the absolute number of door runs and run time, beginning from
the first installation. These numbers are written into the Flash memory for a permanent
storage every 100th cycle for the runs and every day for the time counting.

6.3 Setup Function (keys: 33)

When the key "3" is pressed in FUNCTION operation or when the "SET" key is pressed at
lower layer of the hierarchy, the system will shift to the setup function and the following display is shown:
+----------------+
INST= 1 PROF= 2
OTHER= 3 ENG = 4
+----------------+
Pressing the keys "1" to "4" at this level you will shift to the corresponding field and a
changing of the setup parameters is possible.
A list of all setup parameters and their value range is shown in the appendix.
A parameter is stored permanently in the Flash memory not before the menu is left with one
of the function key (Modul, Functio or Set).
6.3.1 General Setup Display
The general display for the setup ( keys 332 to 334 ) is:
EXAMPLE:

+----------------+
START OPEN SPEED
0008 <-- 0012 Hz
+----------------+

GENERAL:

+----------------+
1111111111111111
2222 <-- 3333 44

The parameter input is checked to a certain degree by the DCSS before it is overwritten by
a new value. During the parameter entering the value is checked against the upper and
lower limit. If the parameter exceeds this limit it will not be stored into the Flash memory and
the error counter will be incremented.
NOTE:
It is not recommendable to change the parameters during a door movement, because the
system will be shut down immediately.
When the door supervisor is in the 'READY' mode and the door is not in the fully open or
close position, a changing of the setup parameters is not allowed and the following display
will be shown:

6.3.2 Installation Routine

The complete 'Installation Menu' runs partly automatically. Only few confirmations has to be
entered.
In order to simplify the installation the complete procedure is menu-driven and displayed on
the Service Tool. The user only needs to follow the displayed instructions and has to confirm the requests.

6.3.2.1 Set Default Parameter

For the first time to put the system into operation a set of Default Parameters must be
copied into the empty Flash memory if it is not happened, the system will not run. In case of
a repeated installation this step can be passed over to avoid an unwished overwriting of the
parameter.

6.3.2.2 Check Motor Rotation

In the next step the system starts with a connection check of the motor and the encoder installation, well known from the HPDS-VF/DO2000 installation.
A door command has to be entered and the user only needs to confirm the motor rotation
and the corresponding encoder direction signal. If the door movement or the displayed door
state (direction signal) is not according to the entered command the procedure starts again
with an opposite sign.

3. Step: Check of motor rotation

Press '<ENTER>' to go to next step.

6.3.2.4 Start Learn Run

After these checks an automatic learn run is started to ascertain the door environment
parameters like door-width, motor-turns, encoder resolution and the slippage of the system.
To learn these unknown values the door has to move two times. At the first move the routine checks the resolution of the encoder device, which can be very high and leads to an
overflow of the counting register or can be very low which leads to bad performances and
great errors during velocity- and position calculation.
To avoid these bad effects, the resolution of the encoder is adapted during the recognition
to an optimum value, to get the best results independent of the given door hardware.
With the second move the complete doorway is measured. This value must be very accurate, because it will be now the reference for the door position calculation.
At the end of the learn run the actual position is displayed in [mm].

6.4 Inspection Function (keys: 34)

This function is provided to enter door commands by the service tool to the DCSS e.g. to
test the door movement or parameter setup. Either a single command like 'Close Door',
'Open Door' and 'Nudging' can be given or a continuous run can be activated. Controlling
the door via the service tool is possible only if the Top of Car Inspection switch 'TCI' is set
and the Service Tool is plugged directly onto the DCSS.
When the key "4" is pressed in FUNCTION operation or when the "SET" key is pressed at
lower layer of the hierarchy, the following displays will be made:

+----------------+
INSPECTION RUN=1
CONTINUOUS RUN=2
+----------------+
Pressing the keys "1" or "2" at this level the operation will shift to the corresponding field.
6.4.1 Inspection Run (keys: 341)
This set is used to enter single door commands. Six door commands are available:

direction in order to determine its position.
Afterwards the supervisor mode changes to 'READY' and the door movement corresponds
to the normal speed profile.
