with .................... Prerna Devi is my sister. She was married to Brij Singh on 04.09.1997. I
attended their marriage myslef. On 27.09.1997 I received information that my sister Prerna
Devi died due to burning. I immediately went to the house of my sister's inlaws and found her
to be dead. She was completely burnt and her inlaws told me that she set herself on fire. I find
this to be untrue. A few days before the death, my sister Prerna Devi had come to visit our
home. She told me, my father and mother that her in-laws use to taunt her and torture her by
saying that she had brought nothing in dowry. Her brother in law Aan Singh had threatened to
insult her before the entire village. She was scared of her in-laws. i believe that her husband
and inlaws are behind the killing of my sister. That is why I lodged an FIR against them in the
Police Station.

I tried my best to organise the marriage. On 27.09.1997 I was told by my son Govind that my
daughter Prerna Devi died due to burning. A few days before the death, my daughter Prerna
Devi had come to visit our home. She told me, my wife and son that her in-laws use to taunt
her and torture her by saying that she had brought nothing in dowry. Her brother in law Aan
Singh had threatened to insult her before the entire village. She was scared of her in-laws. I
told my daughter to go back to her house and try and adjust. Few days later on 27.09.1997, I
got to know about my daughter's death.

The body of the deceased sustained 90 percent burns on the body. The cause of death is not
