Bio/2010

Brian Doyle has more than 20 years experience managing technology

companies and providing leadership across a diversity of fields. With
university degrees in science, math and economics Brain was the
founding visionary for each venture in which he became involved. Brian
took an leadership role in these early stage growth companies by raising millions of
dollars of capital, providing oversight for all technology development, and successfully
marketing the company and the products.

Brian first founded Coincard International Inc., the world’s leading capacitive data card
company. Co-invented and patented by Brian, capacitive WORM memory data cards
were manufactured by sputtering thin metallic films on polyester substrates and then laser
encoding the metalized surface using high speed scanning laser beams. Marketed as
Coincards, this product found a niche market as disposable stored value cards in the
vending and fare collection industries. The company’s product set continued to expand
to include passenger counting units, wireless data loggers, database capture and reporting
software and eventually a full fledged multi-featured system of fareboxes and ticket
kiosks. The company was the first company to roll out contactless smart cards in the US
public transit sector and has placed equipment in projects throughout the USA with
transit properties as diverse as Mass Transit Authority of Flint, MI and Disney Transit in
Anaheim, CA. Manufacturing partners included Matsushita and Material Science
Corporation. The company continues to service the automatic fare collection market
under their new name Farelogistics.

After recruiting senior management for Farelogistics Brian moved on to develop a fault-
tolerant concurrent session IP payment gateways or “fast switch” for banking
applications. Brian served as both managing director and the system architect for an end
to end mini payment solution piloted in Beijing China. This system built upon core
Java/Unix/Erlang open source languages utilizes a fully IFX compliant clustered Oracle
data base back end to connect cell phone, POS and PDA to bank intermediaries via a
fully distributed web services platform supported by application switches, GPRS modems
and mesh networked wireless routers.

Brian is currently involved in a new Japanese start up, Yodo Inc. building a highly
leveraged mobile financial service based on an innovative Zigbee front end for cross
platform universal handsets. Brian has served as a director on several international boards,
including both Chinese and Japanese venture companies.
