Eligibility Criteria
AEDC-2014 is open to teams of individuals who are full-time college or university students in India. A team can have a
maximum of three students. Each team must register by filing an application using the Official Entry form, which must include
each team members name, address, telephone number, and email address. Each team must have at least one supervisor
from the participating Institute. Employees of Atmel Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, resellers, and advertising and
promotional agencies, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in AEDC-2014 as members of a team or
as faculty mentors.
Phase I: Design
Registration for AEDC-2014 opens on July 1, 2014, and the deadline for entries is August 17, 2014. Each team will need to
submit a proposal that includes a design and application as a standard PDF document no larger than 3MB. The submission
must contain sufficient text, diagrams, and flow charts along with the required evaluation kit for designing a proposed
application. Each entry should contain a Certificate of Original Work (http://www.atmel.com/images/Certificate_of_original_
work.pdf), completed by the Principal or Head of the Department of the educational institution. Teams whose proposals have
been accepted for the AEDC-2014 contest will be notified. The short-listed teams will then enter the implementation phase
and evaluation kits will be provided free of cost to them.
