Transformer / Transformer Rectifier
The most common type of power supply used for impressed current cathodic protection is a
transformer/rectifier, commonly referred to simply as a rectifier. A rectifier converts the AC power supply
voltage to the required output voltage and then converts it to DC.
YUXI Rectifiers are either supplied in ventilated cases to allow convective air cooling or are immersed in
transformer oil with the following advantages:

Transformer:
The transformer will be isolation type having separate primary and secondary windings in
accordance with IEC76 or BS171.
Rectifier:
Silicon diode full wave bridge rectifier
Control:
Manual / Automatic
The unit will be capable of operating in either Constant Potential Mode or Constant Current
Mode.
The output voltage and output current can be adjustable from 0 to rated value in stepless manner
by means of a setter potentiometer.

Protection:
Rectifier Input and Output overload and short circuit protection is achieved by MCB and HRC
Fuses.

Meters:
The transformer rectifier is equipped with separate digital continuous reading voltmeters and
