The Authoritarian and Libertarian theory are exactly against and opposite with
one another. Authoritarian theory is better for resolving social and cultural
issues,make people motivated to work hard for their country,and prevents media to
act irresponsibly,but on it's negative side,it limits freedom of expression and
information of the normal people,plus the dominant people or the ruling class,might
use media only for their own benefit. On the other hand,the counter part of
Authoritarian,or the Libertarian,media can give authentic information without the
government's interference,there is no censorship,and there is transparency of every
work to all people. But there's also disadvantages such as individuals might not
have good intentions and ethics,the freedom of different type of people,their
ideas,opinions,school of thoughts,and group objectives can be in conflict. These two
normative theories has it's own positive and negative sides,advantages and
disadvantages,but still the decision depends on the country's government
depending on their free will and choice.
