With the ARBURG Remote Service

(ARS), the most important production
data is always at your fingertips online.
Transparent data, wherever and whenever required, reductions in machine
downtime, prevention of production
problems and the rapid implementation
of efficient countermeasures are just a
few of the many advantages from
which your company can benefit.
With ARS, the capacity and flexibility of
your machine fleet can be utilised to
maximum effect. The structure of the
system enables data access within your
company, but also via the Internet,
making it ideal as a remote service tool
for ARBURG Service or the application
technology department.

Online production monitoring

With ARS, the production time and downtime of ALLROUNDER machines can be retrieved, monitored and clearly displayed in
chronological sequence as required.
For each logged time period, the order and
program designators, target-unit, targetcavity, actual-unit and reject part volumes
are displayed. In the event of alarms, the
same alarm text is displayed as on the machine control system.
The Production department can see at a
glance which moulds are producing on
which machines at what cycle times and the
overall progress of the order. Machine shutdowns are also indicated immediately. From
this production overview, the operator can
access detailed information on each machine at the click of the mouse.

Remote access for service

ARS is the perfect tool for retrieving all important production data at any time, within
the company as well as externally. Production
is transparent and can be monitored around
the clock. Via the ALLROUNDER@web machine interface, ARS allows access to machine data and log-in via a secure Internet
connection from external PCs. The WEB server functionality, as well as user and machine
administration also run via this program.
ARS allows the creation both of an in-house
information tool and remote retrieval for
the responsible nightshift and weekendshift personnel. It is also possible to directly
obtain the assistance of ARBURG Customer
Service or ARBURG Applications Technology.

Reliable monitoring of machine status

Current production information is immediately available in real time via the Internet on
all the PCs connected to ARS. This includes:
Current operating mode
Order information at the currently-active
and preparatory levels
Current alarm texts
Current and mean cycle times
Current process parameters

The progress of production is visible at a

glance. Production planning is therefore
kept up-to-date at all times.
The performance of ARS can be tested
online using the demo version at
http://demo.arburg.com/ars.

Traceable production sequence

Like a tachograph, the ARS records the machines statuses and displays them clearly in
chronological order. The production sequence during a shift, for example, can be
analysed quickly and easily. The operating
modes are clearly indicated with the colours
green for automatic, blue for manual, red
for alarm and grey for offline.

Rapid analysis of downtimes

The ARS Remote Service is of particular interest for machines that are integrated in
complex facilities or automation projects.
Here, downtimes can be analysed (remotely
if necessary) and remedied by employees on
site or by ARBURG technicians within a very
short time.

ALLROUNDER@web:
In order to enable internal and external access to machine and production data via
ARS, the ALLROUNDER@web machine interface is required. This provides ARS with
network access to the machine control systems via the world-wide Ethernet wiring
standard. Machine status, screen pages and
settings data records can be called up decentrally in this manner.

Remote production locations or facilities

can also be accessed via existing network
connections so that production there can be
monitored at the touch of a button.
