Pang-uri o Pang-abay Worksheets

Some Filipino adjectives may be used as adverbs. Adjectives describe nouns or
pronouns, while adverbs describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
The three pdf worksheets below practice the students ability to tell whether a Filipino
word is used as an adjective (pang-uri) or as an adverb (pang-abay). The second page
in each file is the answer key.
You may print and distribute these worksheets to you children or students, but you may

the pang-ukol (there can be more than one) in each sentence.
2. Pagpili ng Tamang Pang-ukol_2 : This 10-item worksheet asks the student to choose
the correct pang-ukol (given three choices) that completes the sentence.
The three worksheets below ask the students to fill each blank with the correct pangukol in order to complete the sentence.

Pang-abay Worksheets (Part 6)

The three worksheets below are about Filipino adverbs or pang-abay. Adverbs are
words that modify or describe verbs (pandiwa), adjectives (pang-uri), or other
adverbs.
You may print and distribute these worksheets to your children or students, but you may
not sell or distribute them for profit. The second page of each pdf file is the answer
key. These worksheets are appropriate for fifth or sixth grade students.
The two 15-item worksheets below ask the student to underline all the adverbs in the
sentence and draw an arrow from the adverb to the word it modifies. Some sentences
have two adverbs.

Salitang Inilalarawan ng Pang-abay_1 : This 15-item worksheet asks the student to draw
a box around the word that the underlined adverb describes and to tell whether that

Worksheets on Si Ninoy
Ive written a short essay on the life of Ninoy Aquino and made worksheets based on the
essay. The worksheets are appropriate for fifth grade students.
1. This pdf file is the 2-page essay on Ninoy: Si Ninoy
2. Si Ninoy Worksheets : This first two pages of this pdf file is the same essay with
several numbered sentences intended for the second of three worksheets.
The first worksheet (15 items) asks the student to answer whether a given statement
about Ninoy is tama (correct) or mali (incorrect).
The second worksheet (15 items) refers to the underlined portions of the numbered
sentences in the essay. The student is asked to determine whether the underlined
portion is a parirala(phrase), sugnay (clause), or pangungusap (sentence).
The third worksheet (10 items) asks the student to underline
the simuno/paksa (subject) orpanaguri (predicate) of a sentence.

Bantas Worksheets (Part 1)

The two pdf worksheets below are about writing Filipino sentences with the correct
punctuation. The following are the punctuation marks included in these worksheets:

Paggamit ng Wastong Bantas_2: The 2-page worksheet is a letter (by a grandmother to
her granddaughter) with blanks where the punctuation marks should be. The student is
asked to fill in the blanks with the appropriate punctuation marks to complete the letter.

The three pdf worksheets below are about Filipino conjunctions (mga pangatnig). The
topic onpangatnig is introduced in fourth grade. Textbooks differ in the number of
conjunctions they introduce. The conjunctions used in these worksheets include the
following: at, o, pero, ngunit, subalit, sapagkat, kaya, para, upang, habang,
kung, and dahil.

Pang-abay Worksheets (Part 5)

The four pdf worksheets below are about Filipino adverbs (mga pang-abay). The three
kinds ofpang-abay included in these worksheets are pang-abay na ingklitik (enclitic
particles), pang-abay na panang-ayon (adverbs of affirmation), and pang-abay na
pananggi (adverbs of negation).
There are 16 pang-abay na
ingklitik: ba, daw/raw, din/rin, kasi, kaya, lang/lamang, man,muna, na, naman, n
ga, pa, pala, sana, tuloy, and yata.
Examples of pang-abay na panang-ayon are oo, talaga, totoo, tunay, and sadya.
Examples of pang-abay na pananggi are ayaw, di, hindi, hinding-hindi,
and huwag.
These three kinds of pang-abay are usually introduced in the fifth grade. These
worksheets may be used for fifth or sixth grade students. You may download and print
these worksheets for your students or children, but please do not do so for profit.
The two worksheets below ask the student to choose the correct pang-abay na
ingklitik that will complete the sentence. The student is asked to choose among three.

Pangngalang Tahas at Basal

Nouns in Filipino may be classified as pangngalang tahas or pangngalang basal.
These are concrete and abstract nouns in English. The files below deal with
distinguishing these two types of nouns.
You may print and distribute or share these files to others, but please do not do so for
profit.
1. Mga Uri ng Pangngalan Ayon sa Konsepto: This is a 5-page pdf file that describes the
difference between pangngalang tahas and pangngalang basal. It also has a table
with examples of these two types of nouns. I made this for parents and teachers, but a
fifth o sixth grader should be able to understand it.
2. Pagtukoy sa Uri ng Pangngalan Ayon sa Konsepto_1; Mga sagot sa Pagtukoy sa Uri ng
Pangngalan Ayon sa Konsepto_1: This a 15-item worksheet that asks the student to
circle apangngalang tahas and underline a pangngalang basal in each sentence.
3. Pag-uuri-uri ng mga Pangngalan Ayon sa Konsepto_1: This worksheet asks the student
to classify 24 nouns as pangngalang tahas or pangngalang basal. The second page
is the anwer key.
4. Mga Pangngalang Basal: This is a 3-page pdf file of a list of over 200 pangngalang
basal or Filipino abstract nouns with their English translations. Note that a few of these
nouns may be used as pangngalang tahas depending on the context in which it is
used. Refer to the first file for a discussion on this.
