Plant: Plant in which this BOM is used, enter plant number (Plant 3000 is the default plant
for SPX PE Rochester Operation). Production BOMs are plant-specific.

BOM Usage: The area in which this BOM is to be used (Production, Cost, Engineering, etc.).
Enter BOM usage category. Typical entry is 3 Universal.

Alternative BOM: Enter an alternative BOM number if one exists to display the BOM.
Change Number: Enter Change Number if required. If required continue to enter data in
the fields within this section.

Valid From: Date from which change is effective. The system will use the current date as
the default date. Overridden by Change number date if ECM (Engineering Change
Management) is active.

ECM: Data record that contains all the information required for managing a change.
Revision Level: The link between a material with the change and a specific change
number. The system determines the valid-from date from the change master record.

Result: The Display material BOM: General Item Overview screen displays.

5. If display is required to the BOM header-level data, bring up the BOM header or key the Header
key as show below:

5. Display the header-level data such as Base Quantity, BOM status or BOM and Alternate Text
may be performed here as desired to complete the BOM change.
